Another example of historical hysteria involving a certain class of people (you know who I'm talking about) losing their minds in capital O "outrage" because a woman was discussing sex and *gasps* masturbation. To think people heard 'She Bop' and found it dangerous. You would have thought screaming about Elvis thrusting his hips a decade prior would have exhausted the puritanical impulse of idiots but that impulse—like so many of the negative impulses that periodically ascend and seize public discourse—renews itself again and again (repeat chorus and ad lib to fade indeed).
