She likely would’ve left Innes on the deck in that crate, too. He’s only lucky she needed to free him in order to also be able to make it to the crew lift. She needs to survive.

Annie cannot be dead simply because Isayama doesn't develop/include dead characters unless including them helps develop a character who is already alive (like putting focus on Grisha/Ymir/Marcel to develop Eren/Historia/Reiner. Annie's focus in the story so far mostly benefited HER so i don't see why would Isayama waste his time on a dead character like that.
