I believe movie!Elphaba is bisexual because Cynthia said so but you cannot convince me for a single moment that movie!Elphaba is genuinely in love with Fiyero. He chases her and she settles for him out of a combination of loneliness and heteronormativity. She wants intimacy in the heat of the moment because she thinks this is the best she's ever going to get. She appreciates him 'choosing' her because she's never been prioritized like that before but. She regrets the fuck out of their hookup one week into the desert when she realizes she can't actually stand to be alone with his ass without someone else around as a buffer.
#my opinion#I will be ignoring anyone upset about this take no need to try to change my mind we can coexist in separate lanes of our interpretations#Elphaba thropp#wicked for good#Fiyero's entire character in the movie is chasing Elphaba at the cost of everything else and I don't think that jibes well with Elphaba#who is someone who tends to put others first#hes selfish#she's selfless#both are capable of making selfish and selfless choices but#I do think they would absolutely bring out the worst in each other#because they do not understand each other on a fundamental level#they implode in the desert
