Do you love your body but also find yourself being critical of it? What if we didn't cover up what we are ashamed of and transformed our insecurities into confidence? This concept which I've been working on has been shifting over time, and I'd like to invite you to do some shifting with me. Maybe you always wear big shirts when you do your workout to cover up your love handles, or you always wear pants because your legs don't look quite like Beyoncé's. Well, a few of my friends have been revealing parts of their bodies that they have some discomfort with during their workouts, and I have decided to join them. Along with leggings, I've been wearing only sports bra's more often to send my stomach and lower back some extra love. I'm shifting body based judgments into forms of #selflove, #selfcare and #positiveaffirmations. I can't tell you how #liberating and #healing it's been! But don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself. During your workouts, or maybe even an event, I #challenge you to do something out of the norm. It can be as simple as wearing shorts or a crop top. Less makeup or more makeup, depending on your intentions. It may appear simple to the outside eye, but revolutionary for you! I'm encouraging this practice, mainly during #workouts because I recently learned of a study that shows we can experience bigger shifts while practicing meditation and movement at the same time. And if you're not at the point yet where you feel comfortable exposing body part/s you're insecure about, focus on sending them some extra love anyway ❤️🙌🏾 I encourage you to share about your #HealingBodyChallenge should you be so beautifully brave.
