Leviticus 24

First, God asks for his lamps to be fueled by Really Nice Olive Oil, and for someone to make some Really Nice Bread as an offering for each Sabbath.

Then we get this lovely story about this half-Israelite, half-Egyptian guy who decides to blaspheme.  (And for some reason we’re told the name of his mother: Shelomith, daughter of Dibri the Danite).  They arrest this guy and hold him in custody until Moses decides what to do with him.  Well Moses decides that blasphemers get stoned to death.  He gives this little speech about eye-for-eye justice, and then they all go outside the camp and stone the blasphemer to death.  Fun times!
