This bitch got spoilers. Don't you dare read it if you haven't beaten the game.

And as annoying as it was, that little saying grew on me. I think in a way it grew on all of us. It was just how he was. It was just typical Zelos. And as annoying as he acting, as stupid and as lazy as he was, I didn't realize how much I loved him saying it.

Until the last time he did.

Lying on the cold floor. His clothing was stained with blood. Arm slashed. He reeked of iron and sweat. His face, purple and red, was already swelling. Those beautiful orange wings were losing their shine. I could see the light dimming. All of us could. The were broken, as bloody as his torso. And I keeled down beside him. I could feel his blood soaking my tights. It felt warm. How could it feel so warm when his body was ice cold? I put my hand on his face. Despite my tears, I could still see him smile.

"Y-you idiot. How can you smile at a time like this?!"

"Because I told you."

I didn't understand. I looked at him and moved my head right beside his lips. Those soft lips I dreamed about so often. He just managed to cough out those four words one last time.

"Pretty boys die young."
