omg i'm white too so i cant really comment on the race aspect but in my experience i had the opposite of anon like with my friends from public school it was just if you needed someone to pay for you you could offer to pay them back but it wasnt required because they were offering it to you. and when i got to private school it was so crazy bc there were all these rich kids OBSESSED with money and i mean like even a couple months ago me and my friends went to sonic after school and i got like maybe $5 worth of stuff and my friend who paid for it told us that she would you know. pay for it. and later that week she was like so hey you can send me the money anytime this week i was like hello?? she was like yeah for sonic i was like you said you wanted to pay for that..... and she said yeah and then now you can pay me back. idk exactly where this was going but yeah very weird thats my take on the class stuff

in my experience if someone paid for me i offered to pay them back but a good amount of time they would just say no don't bother and same goes 4 me if i pay for someone i just tell them to leave it bcs i truly do not care that much? but it's so weird when someone Offers To Pay like they Volunteer before anyone does anything and then expect to be paid back like um. why would i do that😭

hi neil!! okay i really liked kafka on the shore it is probably in my top twenty ish books but honestly it definitely is a pretty slow book and if its not ur thing then it totally makes sense not to finish it like i do not think it rlly speeds up at all >_<
