Well, when Calista escaped..well more like she also ran away from Circe, as Circe kept her in this pocket realm that concept of time wasn't affected making it 200 years had passed when Calista stepped foot in the outside world once more. And Calista is a strong in sense of magic...I will break down on her lore dw hehehe, John felt that pulse of strong magic i the area which is also informed by swamp thing which John is convinced to check it out. Their first interaction is like.. Well arguing HAHAHA. John sees her as this isuferable Demgoddess that thinks she is better than everyone else..and how Calista sees him is an anoying human that keeps sticking his nose to people's bussiness..in short..they hated eachothr's guts becaus they cant stand to be near them.
