shen ricky - art cafe
after getting dragged to an art cafe, your eyes slowly drift to the tall blonde sitting by the canvas next to you.
getting pulled to a strange corner by your friend, you enter a small secluded building that was filled to the brim with works of art.
your friend had made reservations to the art cafe without telling you, so you couldn’t say no for an answer.
even though your skills were mediocre, having fun was more important. or, so you thought.
you sat at the large canvas near the back of the cafe, while your friend joined the art lesson. grabbing the brushes and paint you needed, you realised that there weren’t any more aprons for you to wear.
not wanting to dirty your clothes, you were thinking about skipping out on getting to create your art work and to just sit there like a loser.
grumpily, you stomped your feet all the way back to your chair, staring at the blank, white canvas. you looked at the blonde next to you, who was swift-fully moving his wrists, painting roses with different shades of red hues.
you were completely zoned out. the blonde boy glanced at you, curious to why you kept looking at him with those irritated eyes.
he suddenly walks towards you, untying the knot that held his apron together and tapped you on the shoulder, to get your attention.
“would you like to use my apron? i don’t need it since i’m almost done with my painting.”
you locked eyes with the tall blonde, blood starting to gush towards your face. he had a nice side profile, but was so ethereal up close.
“thank you!”
your hands went to grab the apron, but the tall blonde snatched it back.
“i’ll help you put it on.”
you stayed silent due to not wanting to seem rude, even though you knew you could easily wear the apron on your own. why was he offering to help?
the boy tightens the string around your waist, tying a little bow at the back.
“all done”
the tall blonde gives you one last smile before heading back to his seat, picking up the brush he put down earlier to start adding the finishing touches to his canvas.
not knowing what to paint, you suddenly thought about strawberries and cats. that’s right, you were gonna draw a cat !
you started to outline your design and get to painting. the tall blonde chuckles, after seeing your mood go up by an alarming rate.
he picked up his canvas and left without you realising. when you were done painting, you brought your artwork to the front, getting ready to pay.
“ma’am, a kind gentleman has already paid for you.” the lady spoke.
your eyes were filled with confusion. who on earth would pay for you?
“what was his name?” you asked, being nosy.
“shen ricky. he’s a regular customer!”
after today, you were surely gonna visit this art cafe more frequently in hopes of meeting ricky again to thank him. plus, to admire his face.
-
“why are you in such a good mood today y/n. weren’t you the one complaining about me dragging you here?”
you smiled, thinking back to when ricky helped you with the apron.
“uhhh, are you gonna ignore me?”
“it’s a secret”
