i think you guys aren't letting dennis be greedy enough. or just - rich enough, actually. because why would dennis stop at two attendings when he could have all three? thank you @canofhappy for conceptualising this with me.
picture this: established rabbot trying to introduce dennis as their third. enter: dr shen. dr shen who has found the little guy endearing since day one, and either is aware of rabbots plan or is gleefully oblivious as he skips over to casually invite dennis to dinner at his house. rabbot, either watching this go down or hearing through the grape vine, are FURIOUS.
eventually theres an outing for all the attendings and charge nurses and shen straight up calls rabbot greedy for trying to take dennis too. eventually all of them come to a "sharing dennis" agreement.
problem is? shen is just too good. and dennis is greedy because these old fucks (rabbot) can't keep up with him and shen so they wind up having to call shen more often than not.
