Kaidan Alenko

How I feel about this character: Kaidan is my sweet bae. I love him and will fight for him.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: femShep, Sheploo, Miranda Lawson, Jack, Ashley Williams;  Kaidan/Miranda (aka Mirenko) is my underappreciated, rarepair OTP.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Kaidan/Garrus

My unpopular opinion about this character: Probably not unpopular among Shenko and Kaidan Alenko fans, but Kaidan isn’t whiny. He never whines. Not even when you ask him about his past and the migraines brought on by his L2 implant. He shares his experiences, says that he either has dealt or is dealing with it, and moves on. He doesn’t volunteer this information freely, either. Shepard--YOU--have to express interest/concern and pursue the topic. Kaidan doesn’t go around crying in missions about headaches or dredge up his painful and traumatic youth in ambient dialogue. I am honestly stymied how this is the prevailing belief in fandom about his character.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: I wish we’d had a chance to have a loyalty mission with him like we did with the squadmates in ME2. The loyalty missions were, for the most part, a great way to explore and develop the unique members of your team. Liara got an entire DLC, essentially; Kaidan and Ashley got nothing.

Or you could just stick with the ACTUAL canon instead of ripping off Kubo you unimaginative hack. And anti-Ichigos dad cut? Wow how petty and superficial you Rukigos all are the same. Lack of grammar aside, I do believe “Origo” came before “Rukigo”, so who is the unimaginative hack now?

And why do you care what I post on my own blog (which I will not be deleting, by the way). I have every right to use the Bleach tag, every right to post an alternate universe. I’m not hurting you or your precious canon, and if my AU happens to make more sense than the actual canon, then that’s no one’s fault but Kubo’s for not following his own damn established canon prior to 686.

This will be the only hate mail I respond to, not because I don’t welcome other points of view, but because trolls like you aren’t looking for a civil discussion, you’re looking for a war and I won’t stoop to your level and give you the satisfaction. (Nor do I have the time to waste my life on such trivial arguments; I’m an adult that works 50 hours a week with a home to upkeep. I have very little free time and I will spend it on things I enjoy, thank you very much.)

So you ship Sheith?

I do! It’s not my OTP for Shiro (that would be Shallura), but I find the chemistry between the two undeniable.

Keith and Shiro work no matter how you view them; friends, brothers, or lovers, they’re always there for one another–supporting, patient, and understanding–displaying traits that are the key foundations of a healthy relationship (romantic or otherwise). I am absolutely thrilled with how their relationship has been developed thus far and am eager to see how it progresses. I feel that it is important to have healthy bonds such as the one Shiro and Keith share portrayed in children’s media.

If I’m being honest, Anon, I have a lot of Voltron ships. Since it’s canon that there are alternate realities within VLD’s universe, each ship is, essentially, plausible and possible, so I can indulge myself and simultaneously ship, for example, Shallura, Sheith, Allurance, and Kallura (I think that’s the ship name for Keith/Allura?). Though, if I’m being honest again, even if it wasn’t canon that there are alternate realities, I’d still ship all those pairings anyway….Ah, the curse of being a multishipper!

That’s not a comprehensive list of my VLD ships, but I don’t want to get into that here. It’d be a long, long list…

I'm still remember your statement about IH at TV-Tropes.I try to edit and add "Out-of-character moment","Out-of-character alert" tropes in Rukia section, and "Hypocrites" tropes in Renji section, You know what happen in next day, those three tropes that I added already deleted. And you're right, IH already dominate TV-Tropes

I haven’t checked on the Bleach TV Tropes pages in quite awhile, but that doesn’t surprise me. Part of me is amused that there seems to be at least one Org policing the tropes pages for just such edits on a daily basis, and the other part is disheartened at how they cannot remain objective or cope with the reality that the end of Bleach is universally considered bad.

Of course, I’m not saying that IchiRuki shippers are completely free of bias, but seemingly overnight–and really every night since the last chapter was released–any and all negative tropes that could be applied to the characters, canon ships, and series as a whole were wiped out, even some–such as Fandom Discontinuity–that had been there for literal years (and, such as the case of Fandom Discontinuity, are easily proven with a quick glance through any Bleach forum’s archives).

To an extent, some degree of partiality is to be expected, but what is happening to Bleach’s tropes pages is beyond “some degree of partiality” and goes to show just how little Orgs and the like truly understand the themes, plot, and characters of Bleach.

GIVE ME A CHARACTER : Renji Abarai and Orihime Inoue (I'm really curious)

Renji Abarai

How I feel about this character: Honestly, I don’t really feel…anything? He’s not a character I like, don’t get me wrong, but he’s just too…pathetic…to hate. Like…the guy never really accomplished anything outside of achieving Bankai. He never reached his goal of defeating Byakuya and got his ass handed to him on multiple occasions.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: N/A

My non-romantic OTP for this character: N/A

My unpopular opinion about this character: He’s not a “rival” to Ichigo, not in the way Uryu is/was, at least.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: That he had apologized to Rukia for how he treated her after she was adopted into the Kuchiki family/during her arrest.

Orihime Inoue

How I feel about this character: My feelings on Orihime are…complex, to say the least. I don’t hate her, though I know a lot of people read my Bleach and IchiHime critical posts that way. It’s not her fault that she was developed poorly, after all, but Kubo’s. Suffice it to say that I feel…disappointment whenever I think of her. Of the potential that was wasted. It’s frustrating, really. What she could have been and what she was dumbed down to be.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Uryu Ishida, Ulquiorra Cifer, Tatsuki Arisawa

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Tatsuki Arisawa, Yasutora Sado

My unpopular opinion about this character: She’s not as naive and innocent as a lot of people make her out to be; much smarter than most give her credit for. It was one of her defining traits from the earlier arcs, and I’m kind of surprised how quick people–including her own stans–seem to forget this.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: That she had actually graduated and maintained a life outside of Ichigo.

I thought you give up Bleach yet still you post. Why?

Hi, Anon! Sorry for the late response to this, I know it’s been a few days.

Honestly, I don’t post much about Bleach anymore. Sure, I still reblog and queue the occasional fanart or edit, but as far as actually making content goes…I think I’m done, to be honest. I’m debating whether or not to scrap this alternate universe IchiRuki ending fanfic that I had all planned out, involving IshiHime, UraYoru, TatsuKei, IzuMo, and KenMash along with a few other ships that I personally feel should have made it, but that’s not what you’re asking and I apologize for rambling!

Bottom line as to why you still see Bleach content pop up on my blog from time to time: Bleach, despite its less than stellar ending, still means a lot to me.

In my opinion, Bleach’s decline began around volume 19, after Rukia had been saved and Kubo realized that he had set himself up for another arc. Rather than try something new, something that he didn’t know if his growing fanbase would like, he decided to play it safe and recycled the SS arc, the minor tweaks he made here and there failing to make the Hueco Mundo arc stand out from its predecessor or exceed it in anyway. By the time he did try fresh content, the Fullbringer arc, he was burned out, the plot and characters themselves evidence to his ever-declining interest in his own manga, and that’s what led to the series’s cancellation and the lackluster ending we got.

Still, the bad times don’t erase the good, however fleeting they were, and nothing compares to the earlier, pre-HM days of Bleach. It is with fond nostalgia that I revisit them, appreciating Kubo’s early creativity, humor, ingenuity, and unique style.

Thank you so much for all your kind words! For the most part, I try to just ignore the hate, but sometimes, especially when I’m having a down day...I just really don’t want to have to deal with the sort of thing. I shouldn’t have to. No one should have to. And the fact that, over a year later, we’re still being harassed for staying in our lane and sharing within our community...it’s ridiculous.

I want to keep writing. I will keep writing. I shouldn’t let a select handful ruin something that I used to love--if Kubo couldn’t, they certainly shouldn’t be able to.

Ditto. I loved the game's story, writing, characters, and if you really care that much about animation then people need to go back and play the old games again because their animations were shit.

A lot of the complaints/critical articles I’ve seen about the game come from people that only seem to have played the first hour or so. Less the articles, but personally from the people I know that have voiced disappointment/complaints haven’t even made it through the first mission on Habitat 7, but feel that despite only playing like the first 30 minutes that means they’re qualified to judge the rest of the 60 hours involved in the main mission line and story of the game.

And the articles...I’m highly doubtful that some of the writers of these articles have played the original trilogy (which is fine; you don’t have to be a fan or have played the OT in order to have a voice on Andromeda. It’s just that some people dig at Andromeda for similar flaws that the OT had but then claim that the OT didn’t have them and I’m just ??? Did we play the same set of games?), or if they have, didn’t listen when Bioware announced that they were going a different direction with Ryder in that they wanted a coming-of-age sort of story (”Wahh no lone listens to me, an untrained Pathfinder!!! Why I am not being treated like a hero like Shepard was?”....um, because, you’re an untrained Pathfinder who wasn’t even the second in line for the job? Not an already-established war hero/N7?), where you grow into your hero status rather than already having it established a la Shepard. 

Maybe it’s nostalgia painting the OT in a more favorable light (because, as much as I love the OT and Shepard’s story, the OT had its flaws too) or the usual snobbish “all reboots are trash” mentality, but either way, Andromeda has an undeserved rep as being a bad game.
