When Violet remembers Icarus he knows they weren’t just his best friend, he knows they were more than that.

But he can’t tell Rae that. He and Icarus never told Rae. (they never really told anyone except for Violet’s other partners (it’s not like the two of them had ever fully had a label to tell others about, they were just them)) So he can’t tell Rae now.

He wants to, he’s so upset in that moment by remembering them and who they were to him and oh does he want to tell Rae. But he can’t. Because they never told him in the past. And it isn’t right to tell him now when they aren’t even here to say anything about it, when they aren’t here to say it’s okay to share that and Rae doesn’t even fully remember them

Something I find really funny about Prison duo is that they have a ship name, they’ve had a ship name since like s1 but they’re just so gay that their duo name has become their ship name too
