This is a pic of a 16’ long bulk head over a bar. In August @megkosh gave me a call and asked if I would be interested in coming to work on a project for her. I was super flattered she thought of me. The project was painting two GIANT Union Jacks ( there is another one on the backside of this unit 😯) I do love large painting projects so of course I had to say yes! It was a sticky hot week and if you didn’t know hot air rises try working on a ladder 12’ in the air for a week ☺️ All sweating aside it was a fun week. It was nice to see and work with people again even if I was a bit nervous given the state of the world these days. It was also nice being around my shop friends @cardinal.greg and @a_grumble_of_carpenters So many months since we’d all been sent home at the start of the pandemic. I want thank the owners of @sherlocks_sherwoodpark and @sherlockshospitality for hiring a bunch of theatre people so we could feel like our skills still matter. I left before the project was finished but from what I’ve seen it looks like it came out fantastic! It really was like we were working on a theatre set. Oddly enough we all build a bar set together last season so I guess that was training for this project ☺️. I wish all the best to the owners making this brave and bold choice to open a business in these uncertain times. I believe they have an outdoor patio so before the weather turns stop in and have a quick pint with these folks if you’re going out these days. And a long slow clap for my friend Megan who worked her ass of and really did design a beautiful space.
