Huge cheers to @finchcritter for bringing to life Princess Ayen! I can't wait to introduce her to the world in a few years, and am so thankful to have such a beautiful representation of her.

sherlockwolf replied to your post “Religious people (mainly christians and muslims) who are all liberal...”
(not to discredit your opinion because you do have an important point) the reason i'm okay with religion as a /pure/ concept is that beliefs help people get through life. not me personally (though you could say fandom is my version bc it gets me through the day). just food for thought ^^
The thing is - religious institutions all over the world are guilty of a list of crimes against humanity that pretty much nothing else can rival. Torturing, imprisoning and killing scientists that were making life changing discoveries. Covering up pedophilia. Mutilating people’s genitals without their consent and, in the case of women, specifically to make it impossible for them to ever feel pleasure. Murdering LGBT people. Stoning women for adultery. Should I mention saudi arabia, where women can be legally beaten by their male guardian and can’t do ANYTHING without his permission, including studying, going out of the house or leaving the country? I can’t put into words the amount of fucks I don’t give about some snowflakes’ demented coping mechanisms when real people are dying because of the instititions connected to them. Even in the west, growing up in a religious or non religious family can make the difference between life and death for an LGBT person. Leelah docet. Bottom line: I won’t stop openly disrespecting religions until religions stop killing, torturing and ruining people’s lives. That is all there is to it, really. And I am absolutely appalled at the fact that this site is always ready to stand up for injustice but will stubbornly refuse to understand what organized religions can do when they are permitted to spread and gain power. Had they lived in that situation, maybe their opinion would be very different.
(Rereading it, I noticed this post sounds very angry. I promise it’s not directed at you op, I’m just really angry about this stuff all the time)
