Okay I'm not gonna yell anymore that gets tiring.
So it's fine if you don't ship Johnlock. Seriously, it's your choice. Ship what you want. Don't ship anything if you don't want to. But you can't deny that John doesn't care about Sherlock, and you can't deny that Sherlock doesn't care about John.
Specifically, Sherlock. Because he's my favourite character ever and it makes me so angry when people call him a sociopath (seriously, are we even watching the same show?) I'm gonna skip over the stuff from series 1 and 2 and go straight to the new stuff, because all the old stuff has already been analysed to death and anything I have to say will have already been said at some point.
So, 'just the two of us against the rest of the world'. (I know, I know, technically it's not that new. Shh. My post my rules.) We know Sherlock cares about other people, obviously, he freaked out when that American guy hurt Mrs. Hudson (oops there goes the idea of not talking about the old stuff). I could give more examples, but ya know. Time. So Sherlock doesn't just care about John. But John's the person he cares about the most. He even says so -- 'the one person that mattered the most'. Hmm, WHO COULD THAT BE? Seriously though, that line sort of made me cry a bit. Could you get any more explicit, other than actually saying that you love him?
The point of this not-very-detailed analysis is basically to say that Sherlock loves John. Period. Regardless of whether that's romantically or platonically, Sherlock loves John. He pretty much says outright that John is everything to him. And John is leaving him.
I think I'm just gonna cry in a corner now bye.
