Shibird thoughts because Shibird is cute

I’d imagine (for literally no particular reason) that Shieru has a sweet tooth. But this particular fact is usually hidden away because he thinks it clashes with the way he presents himself. Bird however, notices his boyfriend longingly staring at desserts when they go out together and tries his hand at baking.

^ Shieru already loves Bird’s cooking but the second his mouth met a rich chocolate-y brownie Bird made, he KNEW he could not live without Bird’s desserts

Bird doesn’t usually point it out because Shieru gets a little snappy about it, but Shieru fusses over Bird more than he does himself. Blader of Pendragon, part of arguably the most prestigious team, making sure a baby bird is eating healthy before even sparing a glance at his own food?

(Reason Shieru doesn’t like talking about it is because he struggles eating properly. It’s a habit he developed after becoming Kamen Z— training first, eating later. Train all you can, train until your stomach is hollow and aching and then you deserve a meal.)

^ Thing is though, Bird doesn’t back down. Even though the problem is unspoken he still tries to get Shieru to eat guilt-free even if he hasn’t done anything “productive.” Anddd that’s basically how Bird ended up cooking for Shieru a lot of the time because that’s how he gets Shieru to eat.

Their first few dates were awkward, more so because of the fact neither of them knew how to act rather than being like “oh this is not it”

One random day, Shieru was the one who initiated hand holding. He just randomly started doing this BEFORE they were dating and Bird got used to it. No matter how many times Shieru did it, or however long he held Bird’s hand, Bird wouldn’t say anything. Everyone else gave a quiet side eye and just tried not to point this out.

Also before they started dating, Shieru was working on his fear of being abandoned or being pushed aside. Bird REALLY helped with that, and though he never said it, Shieru knew Bird wouldn’t leave his side for some stupid reason. Even after they started dating, Shieru knew Bird wasn’t the type of person to just waltz away just cause he felt like it.

Now for the lighter headcanons

Shieru sometimes hums a song when he thinks he isn’t being heard. Bird joins in and Shieru will freeze because 1) DAYUM he did not know Bird could sing and 2) someone start a bey battle BECAUSE ITS EMBARRASSING

They both collect their own things. Bird collects Hawk Man stuff (figurines, the comic, merch, etc) while Shieru has Pendragon merch + bey cleaning stuff (he likes to take care of his beys)

Hina has given Shieru an extra plushie of Bird to him, and a plushie of Shieru to Bird.

^ Shieru and Bird did a little crafts & arts project where they made a little house for their plushies to live together in. It’s very small but it’s made with lots of love

Multi sometimes dresses them up together and takes photoshoots

Ekusu sometimes tries to poke at them so they can team up against him and he can have fun battling

They both practice dances for like their team channels but sometimes Pendragon and Persona collab so Shieru and Bird get to dance as a couple

Shieru rarely flirts (he just shows affection straight up) but when he does, Bird is completely caught off guard

Bird always manages to melt Shieru’s heart someway somehow, whether it be with words of affirmation or gifting Shieru things.

During matches, one of them is always there to support the other. (Exhibit A: Shieru attending one of Persona’s matches and then positively beaming at his boyfriend down at stage, proud of him)

Main form of affection is hand holding but when they’re able to lie down, they’re cuddling for sure. Mainly because Shieru gets SO cold and Bird doesn’t understand how the heck someone’s skin can be that freezing and still be alive

I was just like. What if Shibird kissing but it’s just them being awkward.

Nearly 100% of the time Shieru is not the one to do any type of kissing, unless he’s really happy and he’s spinning Bird around

USUALLY RESERVED FOR MATCHES! If Bird gets an insane win Shieru will RUN to his boyfriend, pick him up, and spin him around.

Shieru just doesn’t know how to react with affection so he just sweats nervously. Like. His first thought just automatically goes to keyboard smash like “GWOWVAOWFWIAV82(29:?/&/&/?”

I would’ve rendered this but 🥲 I ran out of storage! And I gotta clear more tomorrow so… yeah. I HAVE ONE FOR EKUBIRD TOO BUT. Well. Storage. GAHHHHHHHHH
