Shidaisaurus Jinae: tribute to Jin-Shidai company which owned a park near the site.

-A Metriacanthosaurid dinosaur from early to middle Jurassic China.

-Shidaisaurus was estimated at about 23 feet long and is the oldest allosauroid to date.

-The Holotype was a partial skeleton which lacked the majority of the tail vertibrate, pectoral girdle, and limb bones.

-I was unable to find a formal description of this animal or images of its bones, therefore I don’t think it has been formally described yet.

Classification: Dinosauria, Saurischia, Theropoda, Neotheropoda, Averostra, Tetanurae 

Shidaisaurus is a theropod known from only partial remains from the Lufeng Formation in China. It was from the Aalenian to Bathonian stages of the mid Jurassic, from 174 to 166 million years ago. Given this early time frame, it's unsure whether it was a basal tetanuran or a more advanced carnosaur. It was discovered alongside many other dinosaurs, and one skeleton might be Shidaisaurus, but larger, indicating the type specimen was a juvenile or subadult.
