On the topic of “trauma theories” or everyone “having trauma,” yes everyone goes through negative experiences in their lives. However, everyone’s definitions of “trauma” and being “traumatised” is different. If someone doesn’t believe themselves to be traumatised / does see themselves as such, then just leave them be.
neiviele again, has a nice post talking about how the term “System” when it comes to multiplicity/plurality is for everyone who sees themselves as multiple/plural and not just those with DID or OSDD.
Along with that, “System is a DID/OSDD term,” huh wow. We’d hate to break it to yall about the Solar System, Nervous System, Immune System, Computer Systems....

The term “System(s)” means many things and is no way exclusive to DID or OSDD in any stretch. When it comes to multiplicity/plurality, this term (System) just really means many consciousnesses together, forming one unit; sharing one body and “brain” (physical).

Thanks for your interest! It’s actually on our to-do list, but we’re wrapping up college and with multiplicity may among some other stuff, we just haven’t set aside the time to really sit down for the post. Also, we were waiting for a role term for me as well to add to it. We’ll, honestly, probably do it sort of in sections since not all of our terms are headmate role terms.
So, just be on the look out for it! We might even try to set aside the time tonight or tomorrow if we don’t get too sidetracked.
