hello! does the term "eresian" come from yoruba / brazilian portuguese? it means a child of a member system, and in afro-brazilian religions such as umbanda and candomblé, the erê is a spirit that manifests as a child. i'm brazilian myself and i noticed the similarities, just curious :)
It has been a long while since we made that term, honestly, so we can’t remember all of the specifics.
However, many of our terms came about by researching the definition of certain words or terms or phrases in other languages and then adding on suffixes until something stuck, so yeah most likely we came about the word erê while researching and liked how it sounded/looked with the -sian suffice. At least, we’re pretty sure that’s the case haha. No clue what language specifically we looked at to get it, though.
Hope that was a satisfactory enough answer for you! 😀
