The character started out as a girl but i felt like i was missing some like spark? Some pizazz? And then i did like one lil sketch of them as a guy and with out andrye and yeah yeah the spark came back

Thanks to a call from Sam Wilson, the man who threw her from the 41st floor of the Triskelion to save her life, she’s part of the Avengers. Or at least their support team. Bio:

Audrey Yeung was born (presumably) and raised in Canada. She has no idea who her biological parents are and grew up in the foster system. As a child, Audrey studied hard so she could get into a good university and get out of the system she feels let her down. As a child she learned Canadian French and became fluent as she grew up.

When she aged out of the foster system, she went straight into university with scholarships for computer science. Audrey struggled during her first year with the constant misogyny until she learned to play it to her advantage. Instead of letting the men in her course use her, she played the game right back and documented everything. If someone refused to do their assignment work, she did her part of the assignment and took the documentation to the prof, ensuring a perfect grade for herself and a fail for her partner. Audrey took no prisoners and graduated top of her class, paying for it with scholarships and part time service in the army reserves.

After getting her Masters, Audrey decided to join the army full time; she learned Arabic and met her best friend, Reagan Murphy, while deployed. The two became fast friends on base. Audrey even credits herself for setting Reagan up with her future husband.

Not long after Reagan and Sam became a thing, she started to hookup with Sam’s wingman, Riley, since they hung out often. Regular hookups lead to feelings developing between the pair.

Eventually Reagan left service, though she left out the fine details when telling Audrey, and returned to the US. Not long after that Audrey got a recruitment offer from a mysterious agency with a posting in DC. With Reagan gone, Riley was the first person she told. They were talking about whether she would accept it or not, whether they would both remain in the military, when Riley was shot down during a rescue op in Kandahar.

Audrey accompanied Sam back to the US for Riley’s funeral and accepted the offer from SHIELD.

Audrey has had to deal with racist pieces of shit her whole life and has a zero tolerance policy. Her breaking point was in her early twenties during the SARS outbreak. She coughed on a bus while heading to university and the old woman next to her muttered something under her breath. Audrey went off.
