This was definitely an acquisition of folly - these came from an AFSOC-attached buddy of mine because his unit was disposing of several.
Both examples I got are sadly demilled with holes cut in the tanks, most of the cables' insulation gashed open at strategic points, and all the straps on the backpacks cut off.
The tanks are likely proprietary and repairing the packs and wiring will be an even bigger challenge - the backpacks are so overbuilt that I basically have no chance of gutting them to redo the straps.
It's especially infuriating cause the buddy that got these for me later found out that the demilling was entirely unnecessary - they originally thought they were going to be processed through the DLA, but they just ended up throwing all these units into an unsecured dumpster
