Just read your amber eyes fic and the concept is SO INTRIGUING i subscribed to the series immediately, i LOVE how you did the past and present alternating povs, and all the little clues you wove in to show how Leo isnt QUITE who he says he is. And the implication he's technically OLDER than his supposed older twin-- WHEN I TELL YOU I WAS LOSING MY MIND!!!!!!!💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

I want to keep the alternating POVs for the whole trilogy as like a signature of sorts (〜￣▽￣)〜 I’m SUPER excited for the final, just the layout is making me giddy ovo

Hehehehe that one is the next one! Got to a bit of a block on it, but I’m working through it best I can!

After fiddling with her hands a bit longer, April finally took a deep breath and started, “It’s… about the fight with Shredder… Kind of…”

He nodded, figuring as much. “Is this about the whole leader thing? ‘Cause I’ve already talked with Splints and Raph a bit. We decided giving it a try wouldn’t hurt, and if we both still didn’t like it or whatever, we could—”

“No no no,” she interrupted. “Nah, that’s, I don’t really care about that. You’d be a good leader, though, FYI.”

He paused, processing that for a moment, before laughing lightly. “Eh, thanks. We’ll see how it goes… Sooo…”

Nodding absentmindedly, April waved her hand around a bit and tried again. “No, it was, actually during the battle. What I wanted to talk about, I mean.”

“Oh.” He furrowed his brows curiously, racking his brain for what could possibly have set her off like this. He had figured it would’ve been something from the aftermath, considering she only started acting strange a few days later, but whatever. When nothing came to mind, Leo shrugged and said, “I mean, I’m assuming it isn’t about how badass you and/or I were?”

That successfully got a little giggle. “No.”

“Drat. Then I’m totally lost, O’Neil!”

She hummed, bobbing her head and crossing her arms to lean onto her knees. After another moment of thinking, April finally just decided to rip off the band-aid, he supposed, since her next words chilled him down to his very core.

“That little turtle that was in front of you, when we summoned the giant Hamato spear… I uh… Well, I mean, I saw him. Obviously.”

Any lightheartedness that had been in his frame seemed to be sucked out in an instance. His muscles tensed and his thoughts seemed to simultaneously freeze and scatter all at the same time. He was pretty sure he stopped breathing.

I read your Amber Eyes AU last night, and then ended up dreaming about it. I have been thinking about it all day now. I love the writing style so much, I can’t wait for the next part!
