Here's an idea I think we should bring back:

"Answer these questions as your DR self."

I honestly think these are so much fun to do because sometimes I have a DR I want to shift to, but I'm too lazy to actually script everything.

But somehow, just by answering these questions, I've literally built an entire DR from it.

Then I can just copy and paste my answers into my script, add my safety section (because let's be honest, that's the best part), and boom.

A whole DR.

Also, as someone who doesn't really go crazy with aesthetics, I usually just make a mood board of my style and script that I have a bunch of clothes in that style.

Why?

Because why not? 👽

If y'all start making these, please tag me because I need them.

And make them for specific DRs too!

You're probably sitting there like:

"Girl... make it yourself."

I would...

If I had good ideas.

But I fear my ideas would be terrible, so I shall remain in my corner.

Am telling y'all this opened my creative side when I couldn't come up with sht for nothing because I didn't feel pressured and it made it super fun for me.

a little bit of tough love, shifting talk

I’m sorry but if you’re still counting how long it’s been “since” you have been first trying to shift then you can’t expect a miracle to happen to you. why do you think so many people shift on the first or second try? stop allowing yourself feel belittled at the hands of a futile concept. time is not real and everything happens from you— never to you, but through you. if you count the days it’s been since the beginning of your journey, it only makes sense that you’re hindering your own progress. and of course, time doesn’t wait for anybody. time (again, as we observe it as a concept, it still isn’t “real”, nor is it linear) will keep passing and you’ll still only feel more discouraged as you continue this cycle. change happens from you, and only you. I understand it’s tiring to hear all the time, but you are the only thing that runs this. you’re being reminded of this for a reason. grab this shifting thing by the reins and never forget your power, for your own good. you got this.

remember, time is not linear, you are above everything, you can change your “circumstances” in a blink of an eye. allow yourself to be the change you long for.

I seem to have run into a pattern now every time I think about/attempt to shift.

Me: *lays in bed and starts mindlessly thinking while listening to music, attempting to keep a mental note of how long I was daydreaming* (Around the time I either start forgetting what I started with or whenever feels right)

Me: *starts thinking about walking in my IR room from a 1st person POV*

Me Thinking: "Okay so my bed is here, it feels nice and soft, very comfy. There is my desk with my art tablet and my two monitors. My closet is here..." Me: *really getting into the space of my IR room. Starting to drift away from my CR body, dipping into (hopefully) the void state*

Me: *Starts getting excited and can feel the excitement in my being*

Me: *Mind slowly drifts because of the idea of excitement. Starts thinking about why I want to shift to said IR* (Not always necessarily bad)

Me: *Start to think about comfort characters, slowly turns into daydream. Now not actively thinking and staying in the moment.*

Me: *All of a sudden opens eyes and it is the morning in my CR. I had fallen asleep without knowing* Me: "FUCK I DID IT AGAIN!!!"

Hi! So, I started shifting again after two years of not even thinking about it, and today I think I got really close but there’s clearly something holding me back. First I tried the Void method and it was honestly working really well but when I started to feel my surroundings changing my heart would just start going so so so fast and that was enough to make me less focused and that happened like 4-5 times when I felt like I was 🤏🏻 this close to shifting. Then I decided to do the lucid dream method since when I take naps I always lucid dream, and I managed to reach a state where only my head was conscious, I couldn’t feel my body at all, so I affirmed I was shifting and I felt my body fall. Now here’s the weird part, I woke up in like a dark room, basically my room because I was in the dark, and I couldn’t do the reality check because there was no light, so I logically started to reach for the switch, but it wouldn’t work so I kinda started panicking because I couldn’t see and I wasn’t about to wander in the dark NO THANKS! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 So idk why I said my safe word and it worked and I woke up, now I don’t think it was a shift per se because I was really focused on going to my DR and the memory of it is kinda foggy idk , when I touched the wall I could “feel it” but then again in some lucid dreams I can kinda feel things but when I wake up it was clear it was just a dream. Anyways tell me what you guys think bc I am so confused, thank you for reading all this as well lol 🩷😈

Haven't posted here in a hot minute but I have an idea!

what if I made side accounts for my dr selves? Like it’s me posting as my dr self?? and for the DRs where social media isn’t a thing it could be like a journal for memories???

ex: I post screen shots of posts I made/conversations with other people in my DR via social media

ex: I make a text post journal-style that talks about something that happened in my DR

ex: I post pictures that I took In my dr (taken from the internet but made as if it came from my DR)

you get the gist??? I feel like it’d be a really good motivator + another way to visualize and feel closer to your DR, esp if you haven’t shifted yet!

Is this a good idea? I’ll probably end up doing it lol

I dont want to get into shifting discourse but one of the most concerning things was finding a popular shifting page, looking at the bio, and seeing that they were a young teen with a dissociative disorder. Just... do you not see how that could be unhealthy?? Do you not see how this could be harmful??

"wait so you mean there's a reality where me and redfield are married? and I can just shift there? that sounds cool as hell teach me how chat"

Or is it just me? cuz I deadass feel it'd be something close to that at least or he'd probably say he wished it were true but little does he know it is or it'd just be "WHERE'S THE METHOD?" man loves Redfield a little to much
