Riverblossom Hills - Intro Round Wan; Patricia, Cleo Shikibu

Sometimes people wonder how Patricia and Cleo even ended up as friends. They're so wildly different, Patricia is a bit of a prude and Cleo is definitely a free spirit but despite that their friendship seems to work!

Their days mostly look like this.

Patricia and Gabe's relationship is still going strong, despite the best effort of that horrible daughter of his. Patricia hates kids, but Gabe's good to her so she can tolerate Jules - for now.

She's always talking shit about her and Gabe doesn't tend to say much back. Gross, Gabe.

(I've been putting off giving sims traits until they 'earn them' through gameplay but I immediately gave Patricia dislikes children & snob, obviously.)

This sums up the girls pretty well I think.

Patricia: 'Cleo, just because you're hiding in a plant doesn't mean we can't see you.'

Cleo: 'Sorry. You can't crack open the bar without me though.'

The next day, Patricia invited Andrew Martin over to build some connections for work. He and Cleo hit it off immediately (yay!!!) but it's clear he's still in mourning and Cleo's not looking for a fixer-upper so they'll just be friends for now.

Andrew: '3-0, things aren't looking good for you Cleo.'

Cleo: 'No fair man, you literally do this for a living.'

VeronaHills, Round Twenty Six: Shikibu

In her nine to five, Kestrel's duty was to keep her eyes on the net.

Intelligence gathering on certain subsections of the world wide web was crucial to act preventatively against antisocial behaviour, rather than waiting at the bottom of the cliff with the redundant ambulance. Kestrel understood this well, having worked her way up in her government role with her faerie status giving her an edge on societal response to cultural difference. She'd delivered many a PowerPoint on the changing landscape of Riverblossom Hills since the fae migration from the forest; this had impressed the higher-ups enough to give her her own task force and a blank cheque to run surveillance on those with anti-fae sentiment. So, on her days off, Kestrel liked to look to the stars to remind herself - no matter how crazy the world was getting, and how bad things could seem, there was a whole universe out there.

Downstairs, Maria was having a gathering to watch a particularly important football game. Kestrel didn't know too much about it but was glad her girlfriend felt comfortable enough in her new home to enjoy her hobby with others. It also helped to know there was a faerie and an elvin human in attendance - Kestrel decided to wrap up her stargazing for the moment to pop down and introduce herself.

Community would be the saving grace of humanity.

Cleo Shikibu's solo show at the Pavilion closes the festival weekend.

Betty Goldstein wasn't the only one in love with Leod. Cleo Shikibu also finds the man extraordinary magical. He's so different from all those rowdy men she's met and worked with in the studio.

But the thing is, she works late, and Leod only has free time to call her at night. He also finds her the most beautiful of all the Riverblossom Hills women (3, there were only 3, and 2 of them are senior citizens) who have been innocently strolling past his farm. He tried to get closer to her, but her night working hours has made it difficult.

In the meantime, Betty Goldstein was determined to get what she wanted. Betty doesn't suspect a thing, and Cleo only came to their wedding because the bride is a close friend to her aunt Catherine. Cleo believes Leod loves her more, no, Leod loves her only. She will prove it.

So, Leod's promise of fidelity to Betty got broken quick.

"Cleo, I have waited for you all Sim week. I couldn't any longer, so finally I asked Ms. Goldstein to marry me on Sunday. You see, I waited for you till the very end of the round..."

"I'm so sorry, Leod. Yes, it was my fault we are like this. I was wrong to not let you know how I felt, and now I'm willing to pay the price. I will wait for you, for as long as it takes. Promise me we will marry after she..."

"Stop, Cleo! Ms. Goldstein has been nothing but loving to me. Please don't speak of her... I want to stay faithful to her during our marriage, and here you have to make me fall for you all over again..."

I'm using Romantic Stands, so it's VERY unlikely for a married Sim to accept a kiss from someone not their spouse, as long as the Sim and their spouse are in love, and the someone doesn't have stronger chemistry. Here Leod is not in love with Betty (only a crush, but she is with him, though), so he could easily be seduced by Cleo, who he shares triple bolts with.

And Cleo right after having her first kiss with Leo, rolled a want to get engaged to him. Well, girl, I will let you wait; but I'm not promising he will do what you want him to.
