In your Dib mutant AU- How is Zim and Dib's relationship like in it? How has/does Zim treat Dib before and after the mutation and how does he feel? (*´▽｀)v

So… I think in this AU, before Dib’s transformation Zim treated him like an enemy… well, with a few nuances. Dib in this AU is in his early-mid 20’s, and by this time their enemy relationships have managed to become something slightly more important for Zim than he’d like to admit. Over the years Zim started to gain suspicion that his mission is not as important for the tallest, and that it never was in the first place. He started to notice more, notice when they openly laugh in his face, and I think by this time the tallest also became harsher with their jokes and comments towards Zim, because after so long they started to become seriously tired of his calls and presence, even when he’s not with them physically. This realisation was causing more and more stress for Zim on a daily basis, Zim lost his meaning in life and all his fantasies were crushed, working on his mission no longer gave him any excitement especially after hundreds of fails he experienced. Basically the only thing that was left was Dib and their enemy relationships. At this point Zim felt genuine fun and emotional relief only when fighting, chasing, or running away from his nemesis. So he became way more obsessed with Dib than ever before. Zim was stalking him everywhere at streets, at Dib’s work, even broke into his home simply to annoy Dib and gain extra bit of his attention. Zim also continued to create new plans of how to invade earth, but this was also only one of the tactics to drive Dib to fight him. Although even such huge provocations were becoming less and less effective, because Dib is extremely tired of Zim and everything that reminds of him and at this point he just desperately wants to finally have a normal human life without having to constantly save earth from a psychotic alien. Constant fights and also some of Zim’s experiments that Dib survived over the years destroyed his physical and mental health, driving him into chronic exhaustion, depression and aches all over his body. His organism has been working in a stress mode non-stop since childhood, that’s why his physical capabilities drained way faster than in regular people. Dib just didn’t want to have anything to do with Zim and tried to ignore him as much as possible, which only provoked Zim to annoy him more radically. So that’s why in a moment of complete desperation and chronic illness, Dib made a very dumb decision to buy unknown experimental medication from a sketchy dealer to inject him with.
Sooo now what happens after all the mutations. I still haven’t decided on everything from this point on but I have some thoughts. I don’t think Zim would be scared to see Dib in his new form because he has seen and made creatures way more disturbing than this. Zim will most likely have a strong surprise reaction to this like “woah, I didn’t expect him to be stupid enough to willingly do this to himself just to destroy me”, and he’ll also be extremely interested to find out how his human managed to turn into such a monstrosity. Dib-mutant will be desperate to just finally kill Zim because even after mutations he didn’t forget his exhausting hatred towards him, and he’ll probably fall into uncontrollable rage every time he sees Zim, being unable to even think straight in such moments, just running after his target no matter what. But thanks to advanced Irken technology — Zim can still overpower him pretty easily. So he would catch monster pretty fast and keep him in his base, studying everything about his physique and behaviour. Maybe Zim would have to sedate Dib for some time since he’s so aggressive towards him. And I think that after a very long time of keeping Dib like that Zim would start gaining strange comfort and happiness by keeping this creature close. And at this point Zim could start trying to tame mutant, who would also eventually ease his anger towards alien a bit. Zim would gather a lot of info about how to tame large carnivorous animals and try using different tactics and creating his own ones based on his personal research in monster’s behaviour. And maybe slowly but surely Dib would become naughty but safe (for Zim) and decent creature-companion for his nemesis :p
So yeah, ZaDr in this AU is also possible, but definitely not pre-mutation.
