they try very hard not to be.   they know that,   all things considered,   they are extraordinarily lucky.   they were born into royalty,   meaning they spent most of their childhood more than comfortable,   and,   despite their hardships following link’s disappearance and ganondorf’s takeover,   they,   unlike countless others,   managed to survive.   

this,   of course,   doesn’t mean they’re devoid of envy,   and though they’re the first to know their place in destiny and what they need to do to fulfill it,   they sometimes wish they could have a safe haven like the other sages in the sacred realm,   if only from their exhaustion from living so long in fear their disguise would be seen through.

Ok it’s been a goddamn year and it took Link forever tot both realize his feelings for Tetra as well as accept them and get the courage to tell her. To say he was nervous was an understatement, but now he’s finally got a moment alone to talk to her he’d better not ruin it like he’s done many times before.

Clutching onto the mail bag at his hip he took a breath.
