whenever people post asks or text starters, I always wonder if it's OK to.. send them ANY of those? Or are some taboo? Like the nsfw ones, or the really ooc ones?? XD

Question is: Is it okay to send any ask if they posted/reblog them on their blog? Even if it will make them act out of character or perhaps it will lead to NSFW stuff? The answer is always YES. Yes, you are totally free to send literally anything from the ask meme they reblogged, even if it will cause some OOC shit. But if people reblog ask meme (either for IC or OOC), they want you or others to send them at least one because the reason why the posted/reblog an ask meme is because they want you to interact with them. 

They reblog an ask meme or more, enough proof that they want to get one or two ask. It doesn't matter if you never interact with them, doesn't matter if both of your muses don't know each other. Actually I always see ask meme as a good start to know the muses if you haven't interact with them at all. Think of it as an ice breaker (and the ice breaker meme is actually existed too), perhaps after that you can get to know each other muses better than you already did.

Also ever heard the term "reblog karma" before? It is somewhat an unwritten rule (that I actually never heard of it before when I tried RP here around 3 years ago) that if you're going to reblog a meme from a person, you should at least give one to the person you reblogged from. BUT. I can't stress this enough that it is not mandatory. 

If you think that your muse is not possible to send a certain ask meme, then you don't have too. If you think that this ask meme is too much or against your own rules/their rules, then you don't have to send one either.You don't have to always send them those ask memes if you know that it won't work for you or your muse. In my opinion, it is not an obligation and I'm somewhat between yes or no regarding to reblog karma because, well, I can understand that not all ask memes are always working for some muses. But imagine how awesome it will be if you send them an ask and they will be very happy when getting one; you just brightened someone's day!

My point is? It's cool if you send one to them. But it's cool too if you don't want to send any. The choice is yours to make. Just remember the point of roleplaying is to have fun, do whatever you want that makes you feel comfortable and enjoy it to the fullest.
