It's meant to be a happy night out with the family to celebrate the anniversary of Orm's homecoming, but a panic attack has quieter plans for him and Stephen.

“I’m sorry,” Orm mumbled. “I’m sorry.”

Music rumbled inside of Terry’s Sunken Galleon, loud and energized. Outside, where the music was muffled, docked boats swayed and bobbed on water that sparkled beneath the streetlamps. Laughter floated through the air from both settings, dining areas and the parking lot all crowded with happy, rowdy people buzzing with, according to Tom and Arthur, the best beer Amnesty Bay had to offer, enjoying the last gasp of summer as reports of colder temperatures loomed on the horizon.

What Stephen wouldn’t give for that cold front to hit a smidge early and maybe offer some comfort to his trembling partner.

“It’s ok, baby.” Secluded behind the bar, backs to its red wood and bones aching from the pavement they sat on, Stephen rubbed Orm’s shoulder and kissed his hair. “It’s ok.”
