corrupted!azurite sc. // @shintsohi
his cry carried from deep in his throat, rattling through the ground and piercing the air---a warning sound, before the sound of heavy claws hitting the rocky floor followed after. it wasnât long before the corrupted azurite skidded to a stop in front of the rare purple gem. he looked directly at the ametrine, huffing and making gruff sounds, like he wanted to scare the gem off, but if he wasnât spooked by his earlier cry and his charge, then, well...Â
he was sort of curious as to what now...
Welcome to the Hero Course!
The aftermath of the joint exercise still weighed heavy on Izukuâs mind. He had nearly harmed his friends and made everyone worry about him. After all of the progress he had made with One For All, there was still a stinging reminder of how much farther he had to go to master his quirk.Â
Though, he kept on a brave face. There was time to learn more about the Blackwhip. He just had to train harder.Â
His team managed to win the joint exercise and he was happy with that result. Even better, Shinsou managed to earn his way into the hero course! He found himself excited to get to know his classmate more.Â
Pushing aside the the heavier thoughts, he approached Shinsou in the common area of the dorms. âHey, Shinsou-kun!â he chirped with a bright smile. âI hope we end up in the same class next year!âÂ

âYour classmates are strange."
IS THAT AN INSULT? He isnât sure. âPeople are weird in general. Youâre people.â How eloquent, truly.
â iâm not mad at you about the marker. iâm not mad about the marker. â

The relief she felt when he spoke the first sentence, was washed away when she understood what the second meant. She had been going through everything she might have done that would make him mad at her. Losing one of his markers was the only incident that came to mind. â  But youâre mad at me? What did I do? â
@shintsohi
I actually have yet to read Vigilante, although it seems like I should! Given the points you just made about support items.
And yeah itâs always baffled me that weâre supposed to believe someone w/o a quirk couldnât be a hero when so many existing heroâs have non physical quirks that donât really help them in a fight.
As for the number one hero, that depends on how itâs defined. Of course a quirkless person would likely never be stronger than or even as strong as All Might in his prime, but they would have the unique perspective to be able to influence society in a positive way and possibly even redefine heroics as a whole. Especially with a character like Izuku who is shown to hold a lot of influence over other characters.
Although thatâs mostly personal speculation than actual proveable theory.

â Sorry â
Shinsou wasnât one to apologize to other, Aizawa being one of the exceptions to this âruleâ. The young boy wasnât even entirely sure what he was sorry about. Being injured - to put it lightly. Not listing? For worrying him?
..Was Aizawa even worried? Shinsou wasnât so sure. His expression was unreadable as ever.
â I justâŠI thoughtâŠI just wanted toâŠâ
I wanted to help, he finished the sentences in his head. But he knows it was foolish to not listen. Even if he avoids using his quirk knowing he wasnât allowed yet but stillâŠ
A hero helps no matter, donât they? ButâŠhe was no hero, not yet.
The teen didnât even look at his teacher, focusing his gaze onto his leg, fist clenching into his pants. Somehow the feeling to have disappointed Aizawa is far worse than any injuries he has.
â Am  IâŠin trouble-?â
These damn kids are going to be the death of him one of these days.
Aizawa looks as stern as he ever does, arms crossed and brows furrowed. The scowl on his face could probably make a storm cloud look cheery, and the full brunt of his displeasure is currently focused on his student.
When heâd heard what happened, his first worry was that the next time he saw Shinso, it would be in a casket. True, heâd learned quickly, but he was still far behind his peers. Was his training enough to keep him from getting himself killed? Thankfully, the prospective hero had survived, though Aizawa wasnât entirely convinced it was anything more than dumb luck. A few months of training would hardly save anyone.
âFrom what perspective?â he asks coolly. âLegally, you certainly could get in trouble. Thankfully, it sounds like your actions are being counted as self defense. With UA? Your actions werenât those of a responsible student. With me?â Aizawa pauses. âAbsolutely.â
Heâs seized with a strong urge to hug the boy, the same one heâd been feeling from the moment heâd seen him battered and weary. That wouldnât really reflect the image he wanted to give off right now, though.
âA hero doesnât take unnecessary risks. You donât even have a provisional license. Who are you going to help by getting arrested, or banned from the heroics program, or permanently injured? If you think I condone this sort of thing because of the antics my class has gotten up to, I do not.â
