Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End

Idler
Normally, an idler is someone who is seen as useless or as having nothing to do. But an idler is also a member of the ship's crew, who was on duty during the day but not at night and therefore did not keep watch. Unless there was an emergency.
Deck scene on board a British naval sailing vessel (x)
This group included the hard-working Sailmaker, Carpenter, Cook, Sickbay men and a few more.
“When the Astor yacht, Nourmahal, docked at New York, recently, they brought back several marine oddities, including this huge lobster from Bermuda.”
