Landscape is important of course, but it's the people who turn a nice walk into a great one. And I couldn't have asked for a nicer bunch for the first of my President's Walks for Ramblers Scotland today. Most were strangers at the start....but walking in a group is an amazing ice breaker and by the end of the walk it felt like we'd all known one another for ages :)
Yep, the weather first thing this morning was utterly utterly rancid as we all converged on Elie in Fife....but it was one of those days when it was so bad it could only get better....which it did! It almost, ALMOST felt like summer by the time we got to Earlsferry Beach for lunch. And of course, in true Ramblers style there was coffee & tablet at The Ship Inn, Elie afterwards.
Thanks for coming, everyone!
