what is the humbert/chardy lore?unrelated but he's soooo cute he's like if timothee chalamet did it right
jeremy chardy is a former atp player who was active in the 2000s-2010s who became his compatriot ugo humbert's coach in 2022.
you must know that the first time i ever heard of jeremy chardy was in this video of ATP players being asked who the best looking man on tour is and bisexual little roger federer says umm idk jeremy chardy? and it stuck out to me because literally EVERYONE else in the video goes with the safe answer, grigor, but roger really thought about it LMAOOO.
truly this video did so much for chardy's relevance in my brain space. if not for this i would not have given that damn french coachplayer a second thought, but knowing that roger liked chardy, well.. now i have to pay attention don't i...
anyways. before chardy retired in 2023, he had already begun coaching ugo humbert in july 2022. before they began working together, humbert had previously reached a career high of #25 in july 2021, but then his ranking dropped to #152 over the next year.
then he hired chardy in july 2022, on a trial basis until the end of the year, and it went quite well so they stayed together. and during their time together from july 2022-jan 2025, ugo's ranking improved a LOT, including some ATP titles. he even reached a NEW career high ranking of #13 in april 2024. then, in jan 2025 humbert and chardy split. BUT they couldn't really be apart for too long, and reunited by october 2025 LMAO couldn't even be apart 1 year!! <3 and are still together now and very much in love, to ME. humbert stays around the high #30s these days, always seeded for the big events but only just.
here's a breakdown:
july 2021: a year before humbert and chardy start working together. humbert is at a then-career high ranking of #25. at the 2020 tokyo olympics (which took place in 2021 remember) apparently they shared an apartment during these 👀 they both made the QFs of the 2020 tokyo olympics (held in 2021 remember omg) and there's some really cute pictures of them:
for the rest of 2021 humbert's ranking kinda plumments.
july 2022: jeremy chardy, sidelined from atp with knee injury but not yet retired, starts working with ugo humbert as his coach. ugo had dropped to #150 or so by this point. he'd fired his whole team and called jeremy. looks like the start of their partnership was at the newport, rhode island hall of fame grass 250 tournament (no longer on the calendar) 1, 2
the rest of 2022: people are like omg chardy is coaching humbert?
jan 2023: chardy comes back from injury to tour. he and humbert both play AO that year, chardy making it to r2 and humbert to r3
at this point they also start playing some doubles together
at this point ugo has been steadily climbing back up the rankings. there's this cute interview snippet;;;:
^that's just from a cutes article
june 2023, wimbledon: they enter wimbledon doubles together, and both are entered in the singles draw as well. chardy has also previously announced this will be his last tournament (he won wimbledon juniors once). ahead of wimbledon the ATP website released this really sweet article about chardy that also heavily discusses ugo and how chardy managed being a coach and active player at the same time, including sometimes having to miss ugo's matches and knowing that that was hard for ugo. what really stuck out to me is that ugo had asked chardy to join him just days after splitting with his whole team;;; and according to chardy, they'd originally only planned to work together to the end of the year (2022) but kept going for years <3
chardy loses r1 of wimbledon to carlos, and his career's over. the two of them also lost in the first round of men's doubles a couple of days later lmao.
with that chardy is retired from the ATP, and humbert writes a reeeeeeeeally sweet message in his instagram post along with some lovely photos;;; talking about when he needed him most omg... so vulnerable, so sweet, so cute...
^that one he prob just thought was hot lol
late 2023: the partnership keeps going, humbert keeps seeing pretty good results. cute vulnerable uke ugo tidbit here from the 2023 paris masters lol:
by the end of the year he's surpassed his previous career high ranking of #25:
waaahhh
he wins the atp 250 moselle open in metz, france, where he was born, and the resulting hug w/ chardy is toooooo cute
at this point they're getting a ton of praise for their partnership. overshadowed by carlos/jcf ofc but still getting a lot of praise lol
im just putting pics in as i see them idk when all of them are from
first half of 2024, humbert is seriously on a roll. he wins dubai 500 in march. a month later, in april, he's at his to-date career high ranking of #13.
there is a 1 hour long video of both of them + monfils chatting i haven't watched it yet but i will im sure it's adorable
december 2024: it's announced chardy will also be coaching alycia parks
jan 2025: i guess ugo got jealous or something because he announced their split.
september 2025: ok daddy i'm sorry i got jealous can you come back just until the end of the year (interesting to me that both times ugo asked chardy to coach him he only said till the end of the year and both times it ended up being forever)
of course kitten i missed you too
ugo says being with chardy helps him regain his confidence. cute. they continue working together past the end of 2025 into 2026.
april 2026: during a match in madrid between ugo humbert and fellow frenchman terence atmane, atmane cramps and delays playing but doesn't get a time violation warning. chardy absolutely loses it and blows up at the umpire because it's soooo unfair to his darling ugo!!! this is adorable to me, i love it. daddy defending kitten, age: 27
bonus: chardy calling himself daddiest coah on tour
that about gets us up to speed lol. check out each of their instagrams for cute pics of them + their partners on vacation together, im convinced they swing. also check out their tags on my blog~~
another really cute article from 2024
this got way longer than expected but it was fun!!! thanks for asking anon.
I am writing out the ship timeline for Hali x Aymeric because I like keeping one as an easy reference when I’m writing my fics, and I’m sure some of you are curious as well. Don’t worry, I’m still going to write out all of this in fics, but I can be slow with my writing most of the time, and I tend to jump around a lot, so this might help readers out to keep everything straight.
This post will cover everything from their first meeting in the post-ARR patches through all of the EW patches, which ends with patch 6.55. If there are any changes or additions to this timeline at all, I will be sure to let everyone know via my pinned post.
Since it will be long, its all under the cut below. Thank you very much for reading!
Updated: 10/21/2024
ARR
Hali and Aymeric first met as it happened in canon, where Aymeric specifically requested to meet Hali when Alphinaud went to try to establish diplomatic relations with a representative of Ishgard.
Aymeric first heard about Hali through Estinien, when she helped to heal her friend and fellow Warrior of Light @traveler-of-light’s Astrid Lucis in battle with the Azure Dragoon. Hali had performed powerful magicks that Estinien had never seen before, and Estinien’s account of the incident intrigued Aymeric.
Hali’s first impression of Aymeric was that he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, and everything about him, including his voice, his demeanor, his confidence, it all instantly attracted Hali to him.
Aymeric was shocked when he met Hali, in more ways than one. He was well aware that Hali was a lalafell, but he wasn’t prepared to be so drawn to her. He found her to be beautiful, intelligent, funny, and incredibly charming, and he just wanted to know more.
The next several months, while dealing with Iceheart and the heretics, when Hali and the Scions fought in the battle against the dragons on the Steps of Faith, and even after the Scions and Warriors of Light are taken in by House Fortemps, Hali and Aymeric were cordial with each other, and they had only purely professional interactions for some time.
HW
This purely professional relationship between them began to change after the events of the Vault. Hali was at Aymeric’s bedside in the infirmary the whole time while he recovered from his injuries. Aymeric was incredibly touched by how thoughtful, caring, and selfless Hali was, as she helped the chirurgeons in his treatment, made him all his meals, and kept him company.
Aymeric finally had the chance to ask Hali more about herself, and she asked about him in turn. They both realized that despite them coming from much different backgrounds and having much different life experiences, they still had much in common, as they shared the same interests, held the same values, and dreamed of similar futures.
After Aymeric’s recovery, they became close friends, but deep down, their feelings for each other grew, and though neither were aware of it at the time, they began to fall in love.
The event that actively made each of them aware that they had feelings for each other was after Aymeric’s attempted assassination. As he was fighting for his life, he only had one thing on his mind: he wanted Hali to be by his side. He was calling out to her, and Captain Whitecape sent a message to Hali to come as quickly as she could, because Aymeric needed her. Hali ran to him, devastated that he had almost died, but instantly relieved when Aymeric regained consciousness.
Since it was in the middle of the night when she got there, Aymeric offered to share the bed with her. They ended up falling asleep in bed together, as Hali unconsciously moved over towards Aymeric and began to cuddle with him. This momentarily woke Aymeric up, but he realized in that moment that not only did he not mind it, he had never been so happy and felt so much love before. It hit him that night, that he was indeed in love with Hali.
Hali was so incredibly embarrassed the morning after, because she had no idea what she had done, and though Aymeric tried to tell her that he had never slept more soundly and that he didn’t mind it at all, Hali was mortified and she insisted that for all of the following nights, she would sleep in a separate bed, to which Aymeric agreed, as he didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable, but deep down he couldn’t help but be disappointed.
It took Hali a little while longer for her to realize that she was in love with Aymeric, and it took a heart to heart conversation with her friend Emmanellain to do so. Once she figured out what is truly in her heart, she tries to hide and suppress her feelings from Aymeric, never wanting to let on that she loves him, as she thinks that he would never return her affections.
After the end of the Dragonsong War, Aymeric decided that he would confess his feelings to Hali, so he invited her to a private dinner at Borel Manor so that he could tell her how he felt and ask her if he could court her properly. Before he has a chance to say anything to her, the dinner is interrupted by a summons for Hali to return to Fortemps Manor right away. They walk hand in hand back to Fortemps Manor, both feeling as though they had almost confessed their love to the other.
Hali gets wrapped up in the mystery of the Warriors of Darkness, and then the Ala Mhigan Resistance after that. Aymeric is confronted by Artoirel, who suggests that Aymeric should keep his feelings for Hali to himself, as not only is Hali not a noble Ishgardian woman, but an outsider and a lalafell. Artoirel says that the populace would not approve of Aymeric’s choice of partner, regardless if she is a Warrior of Light, and it might further divide the people.
After taking some time to consider Artoirel’s words, Aymeric decides to keep his feelings hidden, for the time being. He worries that perhaps Artoirel is right, and if someone were to attack Hali like they attacked him, Aymeric would never forgive himself. He also believes that Hali would be better off not being tied down to Ishgard, and he wishes for her happiness above all else.
Unknowingly, Hali overhears part of Artoirel and Aymeric’s conversation, and she is thinks that Aymeric is not interested in her, but he is much to kind to say it to her face. Hali runs away from Fortemps Manor, distraught and heartbroken.
Aymeric senses that something has changed between Hali and himself, as he notices that Hali has been speaking only professionally to him and can barely look at him. When he speaks with Hali about it, he realizes that she overheard what Artoirel said about her, but he tells her that he in fact does not want to distance himself from her. Though the misunderstanding is cleared up, they still are hiding their true feelings from each other as they turn their attention to the situation with Ala Mhigo and Garlemald.
They both know that they will be away from each other for the foreseeable future, and they tell each other how much they will miss the other. Aymeric surprises Hali with a special gift: a hair ornament adorned with snowdrop flowers. Aymeric explains that the snowdrops remind him of her, as she has brought hope to the people and to Aymeric in particular, and he wanted to give her a gift that would remind her that she always has a home to return to in Ishgard.
Along with the hair ornament, Aymeric gives her a new term of endearment: he calls her “my snowdrop”, which feels incredibly intimate, despite the fact that neither of them have revealed their true feelings for each other. They also decide to write letters to one another while they are apart.
SB
Hali and Aymeric spend a lot of time apart as Aymeric is working with the rest of the Eorzean Alliance forces as they fight against the Empire in Ala Mhigo while Hali goes to help liberate Doma, then she returns to Gyr Abania to go rescue Krile before the Battle for Ala Mhigo. The two are briefly reunited before the battle, to which they are both so happy to see each other that they immediately embrace. But they both have their duties, so the reunion doesn’t last long.
They are reunited a few more times over the course of a few months during several alliance meetings discussing battle strategies. Hali and Aymeric witness Thancred collapsing after the mysterious voice is heard only by the Scions, and soon the Scions fall unconscious one by one.
During the Battle at Ghimlyt Dark, while in the midst of fighting Elidibus, who has taken over Zenos’ body, Hali’s fellow WoL Yume falls unconscious on the battlefield after they both hear the mysterious voice once more. Before the Ascian can strike, Estinien comes to help. Hali instructs him to take Yume to safety while she holds off the enemy. Estinien agrees and whisks Yume away, leaving Hali to take on Elidi-Zenos on her own. She holds him off for a time, but then she is critically injured and Elidi-Zenos teleports away.
Estinien brings Yume to Aymeric and the Ishgardian forces, informing Aymeric that Hali was holding off the Ascian on her own, but she is going to need help. Aymeric runs to find Hali, and finds her alive but weak and unable to move. Aymeric immediately teleports Hali directly to Ishgard, where she is tended to by the best chirurgeons in the city.
While Hali recovers, Aymeric remains by her bedside, fearing the worst but praying for the best. After a few days, Hali awakens to hear Aymeric singing an Ishgardian lullaby to her. Aymeric is overjoyed to see her awake and recovering well, but knows that he must return to the frontlines soon and Hali will be expected to resume her duties after she recovers. He tells himself that once things have calmed down with the Empire, and once he is certain that she will be safe in Ishgard, he plans to tell Hali the truth of his feelings.
Once Yume awakens and Hali recovers, the remaining WoLs seek out the beacon at the base of the Crystal Tower to help their fellow scions. They are then transported to the First.
ShB
Hali and her fellow WoLs are on the First for about a year in total, which translates to only a few weeks on the Source. Hali has Feo Ul send Aymeric her letters to him in the meantime, which confuses Aymeric greatly the first time he meets Feo Ul.
Once everyone is back on the Source, Hali is able to meet Aymeric in Ishgard when she goes there to help get some ceruleum in order to find the cure for tempering. Hali and Aymeric are overjoyed to see one another again, even with their reunion being as short as it is.
Aymeric sends Hali on her way back to Revenants Toll with an entire airship and as much ceruleum as the airship can carry. Cid is stunned to see how much Aymeric helped Hali, but everyone else knows exactly why, though Hali is still clueless.
Hali and Aymeric can’t rest for long, as the Towers pop up all over Eorzea and the Far East, and Hali encounters Fandaniel in Ala Mhigo, hearing his declaration to bring back the Final Days. They are soon thrown into the next conflict with the Telophoroi this time.
The two meet in a series of meetings to unite all of Eorzea, including all of the tribes, in order to fight against the Telophoroi and help prevent the Final Days. Aymeric looks to Hali to name the new alliance, which Hali is instantly embarrassed about being put on the spot, though Aymeric’s intentions were to recognize how much Hali has done to bring peace to Eorzea, as he first met Hali for that very reason. Hali decides that it should be named “The Grand Company of Eorzea”, as that was Alphinaud’s dream.
Following the battle at Carteneau, Aymeric offers to bring the Scions back to Revenants Toll aboard his airship. During the trip, Hali soon falls asleep in Aymeric’s arms due to her exhaustion. While holding his beloved close, Aymeric asks Estinien for a huge favor: to keep Hali safe, as he himself cannot be there to protect her due to his duty to Ishgard. Estinien promises his friend that he will keep Hali safe, as Estinien himself owes Hali for helping to save his life.
EW
As Aymeric and the rest of the Grand Company of Eorzea are fighting off the Telophoroi, Hali and the Scions are able to secure passage to Old Sharlayan via Krile and the Students of Baldesion.
Since Hali is a Sharlayan fugitive and is forbidden from returning to her homeland after bringing Sharlayan Astromancy to the Ishgardians, she must sneak into Sharlayan with a disguise and a alias. Hali wears a simple Spriggan coat and glamours herself to give the illusion of having light blue curly hair, presents herself as a conjurer from Gridania, and gives her name as Galanthi.
When Hali is questioned by the immigration officer, Hali panics because she completely forgot to come up with a surname and not just a given name. She blurts out her name as “Galanthi Borel”, to the shock of all her fellow WoLs and Scions. Not only does Hali blurt out that her surname is Aymeric’s name, but Galanthi is the Ilsabardian term for the snowdrop flower, so she has all but revealed how she really feels about Aymeric.
At the meeting in Ala Mhigo for the Ilsabard Contingent, Hali is reunited with Aymeric briefly, and they embrace each other in the sight of all the Scions and General Raubahn. Aymeric expresses his disappointment at not being able to go to Garlemald with her, but he knows that she will be protected, as Estinien had promised, though Hali is still unaware of that promise.
After Zodiark is killed by Fandaniel, the final days are upon the star once more. Hali is informed that there has been a blasphemy sighting in Ishgard, and Aymeric has asked for Hali’s help in finding and defeating it. Hali assists Aymeric and Artoirel with the investigation, and they all soon defeat the blasphemy near the airship landing in the Vault.
During and after the investigation, Hali encounters Aymeric several times where he is staring out into the Sea of Clouds deep in thought. Aymeric doesn’t divulge to her then what exactly he was thinking about, as he just says that he has had a lot on his mind, and tells Hali to not worry about him.
In truth, Aymeric is happy that Ishgard is now fully moving forward as a nation, and especially now that the Church has been reformed and is moving in a new direction. Though he still fears for Hali with the Final Days, he is more hopeful than ever that she will succeed. He decides that once the threat to the star has been eliminated and peace is restored once and for all, he will confess his love to Hali. Even if she doesn’t return his feelings, he feels that she has the right to know, but he doesn’t want to distract her from her duty at that time.
Hali returns to Sharlayan and once the plan is in place to have the Scions travel to Ultima Thule at the edge of the universe to confront Meteion and save the star, Krile goes to Hali and tells her that she wants Hali to be happy, and to find love once the battle is over. Hali realizes then that she has already found love, and she doesn’t want to have any regrets before the final battle, so Hali thanks Krile and rushes off to find Aymeric.
Once she arrives in Ishgard, she rightfully guesses that Aymeric will be home, as it was so late in the evening. After a very surprised Aymeric comes to the door, Hali can’t hold back as both her tears and her words come out all at once. Hali tells Aymeric that she is in love with him, and that she always has been, which leaves Aymeric speechless.
Before Aymeric has a chance to respond, Hali starts to have a panic attack, and the black cloud surrounds her, the beginning of turning into a blasphemy. In her panic, Hali runs away from Aymeric and heads towards the airship landing, trying to stay away from anyone who might get hurt after she turns.
Hali thinks that she is going to die, but before the transformation happens, she feels Aymeric’s arms around her, holding her tightly against him. He tells Hali to breathe, to stay in the present moment, and to focus on his voice. Once the black cloud dissipates, Hali looks up to see Aymeric smiling brightly with tears in his eyes, elated that Hali is alright. Overcome with emotion, Aymeric leans in and kisses Hali, to which Hali returns his affection once she realizes what’s happening. Aymeric tells Hali that he loves her too. After sharing a moment, Aymeric insists on bringing Hali back to his manor so they can talk without being out in the cold, and Hali agrees.
Back at Borel Manor, the two explain why they kept their feelings hidden for so long, but in the moment, they both feel so foolish for not telling each other sooner. In between passionate kisses and touches, Hali promises that she will save the star, and that she will return to Aymeric safe and sound, which Aymeric responds with his full confidence that she will do just that.
The next morning, Hali goes back to Sharlayan, with Aymeric accompanying her, so she can leave for Ultima Thule. Aymeric meets Hali’s family before he watches as the Ragnarok leaves the star, and he prays with all his heart that Hali will return safely. Hali has found a renewed sense of hope, knowing that the man she loves is praying for their victory and is waiting for her back home.
After the battle, Hali returns to the star, and Aymeric is waiting for her as he said he would, with her family right there next to him. Hali can’t help herself as she jumps down from the Ragnarok, right in the water, runs to Aymeric, and leaps into his arms. With a kiss, Aymeric welcomes Hali home, and everyone celebrates the Scions’ victory.
Post-EW
Immediately following the Scions’ victory, Hali moves in with Aymeric, who gifts her with her own suite in Borel Manor. Hali and Aymeric sleeping in separate bedrooms doesn’t last long, but Hali has many of her belongings in her suite regardless.
A few months later, the couple officially announce their courtship and make their debut as a couple at an Ishgardian Ball to celebrate the Scions’ victory over the Endsinger. Hali and Aymeric dance and drink the night away, and when they go back to Borel Manor, they make love for the first time; they lose their virginity to each other that night as well.
Currently, Hali and Aymeric are just spending as much time together as they can, with Hali recently taking Aymeric on a much needed vacation to Thavnair, and they are having fun on their private island whenever possible. Not only their friends and family, but also the people at large are already referring to Hali as “Lady Borel”, even though they are not yet officially engaged, let alone married.
That’s all I have for now! If you’ve gotten this far, thank you so much, especially if you actually read all of this. I hope you enjoyed this, and please look forward to the full fic series, which I hope to actually someday finish. Until then, this will exist. 💙
1. SasuSaku: I think it goes for all sakura fans, at least at the beginning. Design wise, they just look so good together and idk if it was just me, but their ship name sounded so nice?? But now I've kinda grown to dislike it just a smidge. I mean I don't hate it, but me liking it depends on how sasuke is portrayed. And even then I'm still picky.
2. NaruSaku: I think at first it was just me feeling bad for Naruto, but not long after I just couldn't stop shipping them together hahaha especially in shippuden, since they were growing together and all those narusaku moments that have now gone to waste in favor of Canon ;; also also also!!! All the MinaKushi parallels!!?!?
3. NaruSakuSasu: basically me combining my two fave ships, and is the beginning to my foray into multisaku i.e sakura ending up with/is pursued by multiple people.
4. KakaSaku: yo I never used to think kakashi was hot until I suddenly did when I was like, 14 or 15?and then I was like BUT what if we ship him with sakura? Gasppp and then i went through quite a kakasaku fever.
5. Team 7 x Saku: this was such a fun ride. Remember that thing where there's the sasuke kiss, Naruto kiss and kakashi kiss?? I loved that shit.
6. ItaSaku: me being in my sasuke-dislike mood and thinking okay i know the younger brother is a bastard and sakura deserves better, but what if we had a non massacre AU and itachi happens to be around? Gasppp and I then went through a very long itasaku phase. It also involves lots of time travel, same age AU fics.
7. AkaSaku (akatsuki x sakura): evolved from my itasaku phase, I got thinking what if sakura met the entirety of akatsuki? And this was during the times when those fics where people replace sakura or call her weak and then she leaves is in abundance lmao. Was that a trend back then?
8. UchiSaku (uchiha x sakura): also evolved from my itasaku phase, when I learned madara/Tobi was in akatsuki. And then my brain just randomly thought up more uchiha to throw at sakura and it accidentally became a harem oops.
9. MultiSaku (everyone x sakura lmao): self explanatory XD I just started to pair sakura with literally everyone (except her biological family) and DAMNIT they all look good together????
10. SasoSaku: this one was pretty sudden but I had a sudden need for sasosaku sgsbs there's no real reason why, I just like how they look together and what their personalities would be like in a kinder, idyllic world qwq
11. Founders x Saku: tbh, I'm not sure how it started. Maybe something about me shipping madasaku, until I remembered that he's a founder, and there are two other founders, and then it all devolved from there XD
How did y'all end up as a serial MultiSaku shipper? (because only serial multisakus will see this post XD)
Writing all of this out because I like keeping a list of HCs, or a timeline of sorts, for easy access, and I’m sure some of you are curious as well.
A huge thank you goes to @mimble-sparklepudding for asking such great OC and ship questions, which sparked my desire for writing all of these out in this manner. Under the cut below:
Firstly, Yume x G’raha’s ship tag is “Evermore”, and it was taken from the song of the same name that appeared in Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast. The song always makes me think that G’raha is singing it to himself while thinking about Yume.
When they first met, for G’raha, he was attracted to Yume at first sight, and he soon developed a huge crush on her very quickly, while Yume was insanely annoyed at the “disembodied voice” who was toying with her and making her job harder than it had to be. She was pissed off at this person and was planning on telling him something about it when she saw him face to face.
Yume’s plans to tell him off we’re all dashed when she actually saw him in person. She realized that he was insanely physically attractive to her, with his muscles, tattoos, bright red hair, and heterochromatic eyes. When he smiled at her and introduced himself, his attractiveness really caught her off guard and instead she became intrigued.
When they first were able to have a conversation, G’raha immediately asked if she was related to the daimyo Lord Masanori Aino, which threw Yume off guard even more, as no one outside of Hingashi knew of her clan or her upbringing unless she told them about it.
Yume informed him that she was actually Lord Aino’s eldest daughter, to which G’raha guessed right away that she was a ronin, and Yume asked how he knew that because no one else knew that much of Hingashi, to which G’raha explained that he read a text that was smuggled out of Hingashi that explained all about Hingan culture and politics, and that the daimyo were all listed. G’raha recognized her clan name and made an informed guess.
The fact that G’raha was so informed of her homeland and he genuinely was interested in her background earned him kudos from Yume, and she gladly would tell him tales of her life growing up as the daimyo’s daughter, while G’raha just ate up everything she told him.
Yume asked G’raha about himself as well, and he quickly opened up to her about being born in Corvos but being given up to the Students of Baldesion because of his Allagan eye, then growing up in Sharlayan and finally earning the title of Archon, to which Yume was also fascinated by all of this, and they both recognized how easy it seemed to open up to one another.
When G’raha didn’t get his way and Cid told him that he had to stay behind and not go with Yume, he pouted and then later, he gets annoyed and calls Cid “old man”. This was because 1) G’raha felt entitled to go because he wanted to have a first hand account for his research, 2) he wanted to go on an adventure with his crush, but also 3) G’raha was insanely jealous of Cid since he was Yume’s lover.
In between assisting with the investigation, G’raha learned that Yume envied G’raha because he was an expert archer, as she was never permitted to learn the bow and arrow. G’raha gladly offered to teach her, and so G’raha would be the one to train Yume in archery.
Soon after, Yume would incorporate the archery skills she learned from G’raha into her normal fighting style, switching between her katana and the bow and arrow on the fly, depending upon the situation. This would become Yume’s unique fighting style, to which I have called the job “Ronin”.
Yume often found G’raha sitting by the edge of Silvertear Lake while either reading or singing and playing his lute. She soon fell in love with G’raha’s voice, first through his singing, and then realized that she also loved his speaking voice as well after he began reading his favorite stories to her.
The two realized that they have much in common despite it not seeming that way on the surface. Though their circumstances were quite different, both of their individual experiences are similar in nature, where they both are disconnected from their families and their homelands, and they have found a home elsewhere.
This is actually something that Yume and G’raha both share with each other in part soon after they meet, and then later while on a vacation trip to Costa del Sol, they tell their life stories to each other. They feel this deep connection to each other in part because they understand each other so well in that way.
The two also both love to read, both to gain knowledge and to experience an adventure through a book. This led to a discussion where the two told each other that they dream of adventure and seeing the world with their own eyes instead of just through the pages of a book.
Between the events of the Labyrinth of the Ancients and Syrcus Tower, Yume invites G’raha to go on a vacation trip to Costa del Sol, and it is there that they share much of their life stories, their hopes and dreams of the future. The two also dance on the beach and watch a star shower together. All of this leads to them falling in love with each other.
During their trip to Costa del Sol, G’raha tells Yume to call him “Raha”, and she only uses his given name without the tribal affiliation after that.
G’raha and Yume then go into the World of Darkness, the Void, together, as G’raha refuses to be left behind again, and Yume agrees, even arguing with Cid that she wants G’raha by her side whether Cid likes it or not.
While in the World of Darkness, G’raha promises to take Yume to see Sharlayan one day, and when Yume asks what she can do to repay him for such a kindness, he says that she can take him to see Kugane, and she promises in turn.
After the events of the World of Darkness, Yume gives G’raha a letter, to which G’raha doesn’t read until after he awakens in the future of the Eighth Umbral Calamity timeline. In the letter, Yume says that she has something important to tell him, but she has business to take care of first before she can tell him.
While she doesn’t get the chance to tell him, as G’raha seals himself in the Tower, Yume intended on breaking up with Cid and moving her stuff out of Cid’s apartment before confessing her love to G’raha, as she had decided that she wanted to be with him.
When G’raha sealed himself in the Tower, Yume put on a brave face when he smiled at her before the doors shut, as she wanted him to remember her as she was, and she didn’t want to appear unsupportive of his decision.
But as soon as the doors shut, she collapsed to the ground, openly weeping, as if he had just died in her arms. In her heart, that’s how it felt. Yume thought that she would never see him again, so to her, it was as if she was mourning him.
Yume was of course upset that he sealed himself in the Tower, as she selfishly wanted him to stay with her, but she knew that it was his duty, and as a samurai, she would never resent him for that. It is just one more reason that she loves him so much: he’s honorable, courageous, and selfless, and she was very proud of him. Yume knows that if she were in his shoes, she would’ve done the same.
During HW and SB, Yume tried her best to move on, and she ended up throwing herself into her duties as a WoL, and she stayed in her relationship with Cid.
When Cid asked her to marry him, she said yes, and thought that it would make her happy, but every once in a while, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.
Yume remembered G’raha every day since he sealed himself in the Tower, and she would always would write to him in her diary in order to cope with her grief, but her heartache never went away. It only heightened when she began hearing a mysterious voice, and she swore that it was G’raha’s voice.
That’s all for now! I’ll continue this in a second part which will detail my ship headcanons through ShB, EW, and in the future! If you got this far, thank you so much for reading!! 🥰💖
Part 1 <- If you missed the first part, click here!
Writing all these out because I like keeping a list of HCs, or a timeline of sorts, for easy access, and I’m sure some of you are curious as well.
Once again, a huge thank you goes to @mimble-sparklepudding for asking such great OC and ship questions, which sparked my desire for writing all of these out in this manner.
This will be continued in Part 3, which will cover Endwalker through the 6.X patches and into the future! Under the cut below:
Yume was already engaged to Cid when she, the Scions, and the other WoLs began hearing the mysterious voice in their heads and the Scions’ souls were being taken out of their bodies one by one.
She always thought that it was G’raha, as she recognized his voice. When she saw the vision of the Exarch telling her to find a beacon near the Crystal Tower, even though she couldn’t see his whole face, to her, it was confirmation that it was him. So in order to figure out what was going on and what G’raha had to do with all of this, Yume followed his instructions and then went to the First.
When she finally met the Crystal Exarch in person, Yume wasn’t sure why G’raha was hiding himself from her, but she soon learned that he was a founder and leader of an entire city-state, the Crystarium, and she couldn’t be more impressed and proud of him.
In some ways, he was very different from how she remembered him; he wasn’t the cocky, mischievous young man that she knew, as he seemed older and way more melancholic than before. But as she talked with him more, got to know him once again, Yume realized that he was still G’raha Tia, the man that she fell in love with. He was still endlessly kind, highly intelligent, confident, and filled with love for others.
The fact that Yume knew the Exarch was G’raha all along made it very difficult for her before he revealed himself, as she wanted nothing more than to toss the hood off of him and throw herself into his arms, but she played the waiting game, trying to figure out what he was scheming.
As Yume was absorbing more and more of the Light from the Lightwardens, Yume started feeling ill, and she saw that her hair started to turn white. Her veins also seemed to be turning white under her skin instead of the normal blue as well.
When the Exarch came to her room in the Pendants one night to check on her, Yume asked him how she looked, to which he told her that she was beautiful. There was lots of romantic tension between them; after that, Yume realized that even if she never could be with G’raha, she had to tell Cid the truth of her feelings.
For G’raha, Yume seemed on the surface to be the same woman that he loved, but the more he talked to her, it seemed like something had changed. She seemed to not have that same spark, that firey spirit that he had admired so much.
When sitting by a cliff in Kholusia, G’raha finds out that Yume wants to break off her engagement to Cid, and she has been mourning someone she had lost long ago. Yume tells him that she is in love with another man. The Exarch too confesses that there is a person that he wants nothing more than to be with her and tell her that he loves her.
They both are trying to tell each other that they are in love with the other, but they are both too afraid to say it directly. They also have the desire for the other to be referring to them in their love confessions, but they also both still have their doubts; too worried that if they assume too much, they will have their hearts broken.
It doesn’t take long for the truth to come out, however. At the peak of Mt. Gulg, after Yume can’t contain the Light and the Exarch’s identity is revealed, G’raha finally is able to say to Yume what he always wanted to tell her, but never had the chance: “Farewell Yume, I love you, my inspiration.”
This was also what G’raha was trying to say to Yume as the doors of the Crystal Tower closed behind him when he sealed himself inside, and Yume never heard his words; it was always his biggest regret that he never told her that he loved her.
Once Yume had awoken and the echo vision shows her everything that G’raha told Urianger, Yume is resolved to rescue G’raha and defeat Emet-Selch, even at the cost of her life, or if she fully turns into a Lightwarden. She won’t let the man she loves die.
After the battle with Emet-Selch, Yume decides that she must go back to the Source and tell Cid that she loves G’raha and that she can’t be with him anymore, regardless if she can be with G’raha or not.
Before she leaves, there is a party thrown in the Crystarium to celebrate the return of night to the First for good, and G’raha goes to see Yume alone. It is there that they finally are able to tell each other everything, how they’ve been in love with each other since they were investigating the Crystal Tower all those years ago.
They almost kiss then, as the romantic and sexual tension is running very high, but Yume stops it before they actually do it though, because she feels that she needs to tell Cid first. G’raha agrees, telling her he’s already waited for her for a century, so a few more days won’t kill him.
When Yume gets back to the Source, she first visits the Rising Stones to update Tataru and Krile on what’s happened with the Scions’ souls and the events in the First, but then she goes to her shared apartment with Cid.
Yume immediately tells him that she can’t marry him and hands Cid the ring, but Cid already knows what Yume is going to say. Cid has suspected that Yume and G’raha had feelings for each other ever since the Crystal Tower investigation, and Cid accuses Yume of cheating on him.
She tries to explain to Cid that she and G’raha never physically did anything, but Yume can’t deny that she has loved G’raha this whole time, and she was trying to move on with her life by being with Cid. Yume says that they did confess their love for each other before she came back, so if that means that she has cheated, then so be it.
Cid doesn’t believe her, and says that he thinks that they had an affair years ago, and that they have picked up where they left off, to which Yume is highly insulted, as she has come clean and has now told him the whole truth. She slaps him because he is questioning her honor when she specifically sought him out to tell him everything.
Cid is too upset to be reasoned with, and Yume is fuming mad, so Yume tells him that she will get help from the other Scions to move her things into the Rising Stones, and that she is truly sorry to hurt him like this, but she must follow her heart.
Yume and the Scions move her things into a room in the Rising Stones, and Yume very soon after holds onto the beacon and tells G’raha that she’s ready to return to him, which he then summons her directly into the Ocular this time.
As soon as she appears before him in the Ocular, Yume runs to G’raha and they share their first kiss. This soon turns into a full make out session, and then G’raha says he has a few tasks to do, but then he wants to meet with her somewhere more private, so she tells him to meet her in her room at the Pendants.
A few hours later, G’raha goes to Yume’s room in the Pendants and they end up making love for the first time together, and their lovemaking goes late into the night, then they fall asleep together.
They are together every day after that, making up for so much lost time, with Yume telling G’raha all about her battles and the places she has seen since G’raha sealed himself in the Tower, and G’raha tells her what happened to him in the future, plus how he spent the last 100 years in the First as the Crystal Exarch.
They promise each other that now that they have found each other again, that they never want to be parted from the other ever again. Where one goes, the other will follow, as they both were so deeply affected by losing each other before, and they don’t want to go through that again.
While G’raha, with the help of Beq Lugg, is trying to perfect the spirit vessels to get the Scions’ souls back to the Source, he says that he has to tell Yume something. Just as he promised, he would never keep a secret from her ever again, and he tells her that his body was soon going to completely crystallize and he will die.
He tells her that he has a plan, and a wish that he would do anything to make come true; he wants to return to the Source with her so that they could someday be married, have a family, and live the rest of their lives together. In order to that, he plans on sending his soul back with the Scions in the spirit vessels, so that his soul can merge with his younger self back in the source.
Yes, the plan is risky, but to G’raha, the risk is worth the reward, so Yume believes in him and says that she will do everything in her power to bring his soul back to the Source so that his souls will merge in his younger body still asleep in the Tower.
After the fight with Elidibus, Yume experiences one of the biggest moments of grief in her life. Though she has seen much pain, suffering, and death in her life as a samurai, then as a ronin, and now as a Warrior of Light and Darkness, yet even knowing what was going to happen beforehand, nothing could’ve prepared her for seeing G’raha’s body turn to crystal.
Though she still held his soul in the spirit vessel, seeing his body die was the worst pain she ever felt. She broke down, gripping the spirit vessel tightly in her hands and sobbing in front of his crystallized form, now a statue, a memorial for the people of the First to remember the man who gave them hope.
When she was visiting all of the Scions as they said their goodbyes, Yume would hold G’raha’s spirit vessel and talk to him, describing to him what she was seeing and making sure that he could experience it with her. Yume was not rushing to get back to the Source, as she wanted G’raha to be able to say his goodbyes to the world that he lived in for a hundred years, and to the people he saved.
Back in the source, as soon as the Scions awoke, Yume ran all the way to the Tower, and she knew where she would find him: in the Umbilicus, where the controls of the Tower were. There, Yume found G’raha’s younger body curled up on the floor, locked in slumber.
The whole process took less than a minute, but for Yume, it was a silence that lasted for way too long, as the two souls merged, the spirit vessel and G’raha’s body glowing brightly. As G’raha stirred awake and opened his eyes, Yume threw herself into his arms and began to cry with overwhelming joy at seeing him alive and well. G’raha smiled and told to her that it worked, that he was here, all of him.
That’s all for now! I’ll continue these headcanons and finish it all up in part 3 which will detail my ship timeline through EW and in the future! If you got this far, thank you so much for reading!! 🥰💖
I just realized now that I never wrote out the timeline of events of my ship within canonverse! I have fics that I tried to put in chronological order on my pinned post, and I now have the timeline for the Imperial Cid AU, but not within Yume’s canon. So here you go, enjoy!
Ancient Times
* Back in Amaurot, Athena and Daedalus (Yume and Cid’s past selves) were in love but never confessed to each other until right before they died together when Amaurot was being destroyed. Athena and Daedalus were able to erect a barrier that stayed the creatures for a time, but they ultimately were struck down. They both vowed to find each other again in each subsequent reincarnation.
Pre-Calamity
* Sometime before the Calamity, while traveling on the Enterprise, Cid sees a vision of an Auri woman made of light who gives him his trademark goggles. He has no idea who the woman is, but he consistently has dreams about her ever since.
* At the same time, Yume was banished from her home by her father. Shamed and dishonored, she took on missions as a ronin and mercenary in Kugane. It is during this time that Yume found a pair of goggles from a Garlean merchant, and mysteriously she has a dream that night where she gives the goggles to a young Garlean man on an airship. Yume wakes up the next morning and the goggles are gone.
* After spending a few years in Kugane as a mercenary, Yume decided that she wanted a better life for herself and to see the wider world. She decides to go to Eorzea, but unfortunately for her, it is shortly before the events of 1.0 and she gets wrapped up in trying to prevent the Calamity.
* Yume soon meets a Garlean engineer who defected from Garlemald, Cid Garlond. They grow close as they work together to stop Nael van Darnus and the VIIth Legion. Cid and Yume soon fall in love and Cid decides that he will fight Nael van Darnus on his own, in order to protect Yume.
* Yume arrives at the airship landing in Gridania before Cid takes off and tells him that she won't let him go alone. She runs to him and hugs him, saying that she is going with him no matter what he says. Then they share their first kiss, and agree that they will go together. Cid promises that there will be an "us" after this is all over.
* After Nael van Darnus' defeat but before Yume helps the Archons with their preparations in summoning the Twelve, Yume and Cid confess their love for each other and make love for the first time, with Yume losing her virginity.
*Yume and Cid participate in the Battle of Carteneau. Unfortunately Dalamud falls and Bahamut is unleashed, causing the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Archon Louisoix is able to save the Warriors of Light by sending them five years into the future so that they are able to protect the realm in the aftermath of the Calamity. Cid is severely injured during the Calamity and awakens to having complete amnesia, forgetting not only his time with Yume but his entire life and identity.
A Realm Reborn
* Five years after the calamity, Yume awakens in Eorzea, having completely forgotten all of the events of the Calamity, including forgetting Cid. She becomes an adventurer and eventually joins the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. It is during her first mission as a Scion that she meets a man named Marques at the Church of St. Adama Landama in Drybone that, unbeknownst to her, is in fact Cid Garlond, the man she had loved and forgotten.
* Some time later, after the Scions’ subsequent victories over Ifrit and Titan, Yume goes back to the Waking Sands and discovers that the majority of the Scions have been murdered in an attack led by Livia sas Junius, Tribunus Angusticlavius of the XIV Imperial Legion.
* Yume doesn’t have anywhere else to go, so she goes to the Church of St. Adama Landama and tells Father Iliud what happened. Father Iliud asks Marques to look after Yume and to take care of her, to which he gladly agrees to.
* Yume spends a lot of quality time with Marques at the church, and she finds him really easy to talk to and he’s so funny, kind, and hard working. Yume is shocked at how easy she grows to trust him. She soon finds out that he was severely injured during the Battle of Carteneau and he has amnesia, not remembering anything about who he was before the calamity.
* Though Marques doesn’t remember, he somehow has a feeling that he knows Yume from somewhere. He desperately wants to remember who he was, and discover why he always dreams about an Auri woman made of light, who suspiciously looks like Yume, even before he meets her.
* Weeks pass, and Alphinaud shows up at the church, declaring that he wants to rebuild the Scions and tells Marques that he is really Cid Garlond, the famed Garlean engineer who founded Garlond Ironworks. Though he still doesn’t regain his memories, after being given his belongings, he knows it feels right.
* In the search for the Enterprise, Yume and Alphinaud accompany Cid to Coerthas, and it is during that time that Yume and Cid grow even closer, shamelessly flirting with each other as much as they can. They both soon realize that they are very sexually and romantically attracted to one another, yet they do not think the other has those same feelings.
* Once they find the Enterprise and embark for the barrier surrounding Garuda, Yume and Cid end up sharing an echo vision of their memories. Cid regains most of his memories and finally remembers who he is; in so doing, he remembers that the Auri woman in light that gifted him the goggles was in fact Yume. In turn, Yume realizes that it was Cid that she saw on the airship all those years ago, but she finally realizes that it wasn't a dream but the Echo.
* Immediately afterwards, they both relive Yume's past, seeing the violence she witnessed and was a part of growing up as a samurai and daughter of the daimyo Lord Aino, including her attempted seppuku. Yume is devastated that Cid saw her shame and her dishonor, and is afraid that he will distance himself from her. Cid instead pulls her into a tight hug, telling her that she has a second chance at life. He tells her that she is "a bird that has been freed of her gilded cage", and that he couldn't be prouder of her for her courage.
* What they both still don't remember at this point is that Yume was with Cid during the Calamity. Cid remembers that there were Warriors of Light but doesn't remember that one of them was Yume, while Yume thinks she has just arrived in Eorzea a few months ago and doesn't remember that she is a Warrior of Light.
* Yume fights and defeats Garuda, but she is injured in the battle. She keeps this to herself and hopes that she can get cured back in Ul'dah without Cid and Alphinaud finding out. After disembarking the Enterprise in Ul'dah, Yume collapses from internal bleeding around her scar from her attempted seppuku.
* While in the Chirurgeons' care, Cid is distraught at the thought that Yume might die, but Yume pulls through. Cid scolds her for not telling him that she needed help, almost confessing that he is in love with her, but he is able to stop himself. He instead tells her he cares about her and he doesn't know what he would do if she were to die. Yume apologizes for her carelessness and the two, along with Alphinaud, make for the Waking Sands.
* Soon, the Scions are back together and the Eorzean Alliance commences Operation Archon. While Yume, Cid, and the other adventurers infiltrate the Praetorium, Cid tells Yume jokingly, "Don't even think about dying. You're too bloody useful." Though Yume is well aware that this was a mere jest, she thinks that it was a clear sign that Cid did not feel the same for her as she does for him.
* A few days pass, and Yume finally realizes that she has fallen in love with Cid, and she is heartbroken that he must not feel the same way. She can’t stop crying so she tries to avoid Cid, though he keeps trying to contact her.
*Cid finds Yume in Mor Dhona and he asks her why she keeps avoiding him and won’t even look at him, wondering if he did something wrong. Yume blows up at him and blurts out that his joke hurt her, especially after she had been led to believe that he wanted to be more than friends. Cid tries to stop her, but Yume teleports away, leaving Cid to cry to himself and regretting not confessing his feelings sooner.
* Cid instinctively knows that Yume would be at the church, where they first met. He apologizes for hurting her with his joke and confesses that he loves her. Yume responds that she also loves him and the two share a deep, passionate kiss. It is during their kiss that they both are struck with another Echo vision and they finally remember everything. Yume asks if he could spend the night with her, to which he quickly agrees, remarking that they need to make up for lost time.
Post ARR and HW
* Yume and Cid are officially a couple after this and the events of the Crystal Tower, Post ARR, and HW serve to bring them even closer together. It doesn't take long before Cid asks Yume to just move in with him in his apartment above the Ironworks Workshop in Revenants Toll, as Yume doesn't own a lot of personal possessions and she was staying over at his place all the time anyway.
* During the investigation of the Crystal Tower, Cid confesses to Yume that he has been in a polyamorous relationship in the past, and when Yume wonders why he brings it up, Cid tells her that he has seen how close she has gotten with G’raha Tia, and speculates that she must have feelings for him. Yume realizes then that she has fallen for G’raha, even though she’s still in love with Cid. Before the guilt settles in, Cid tells her that he understands and just wants her to be happy. Cid encourages Yume to talk to G’raha about it, but G’raha decides to seal himself away in the Crystal Tower before she is able to confess her feelings to him.
* In the aftermath of the Bloody Banquet, when Yume must stay away from Revenants Toll, Cid goes and stays with her in Camp Dragonhead and in Ishgard as much as he can, until it is safe for her to return to their apartment.
Stormblood
* During the events of Stormblood, Yume returns to Kugane, and misses Cid terribly. She realizes that though she may always be Hingan and still loves the city of Kugane, her home is now in Eorzea and with Cid.
* While in Kugane, Yume spots some of her father's samurai and she grows paranoid that they will find her. When Yume checks in at the Bokairo Inn, she gives her name as "Garlond". Yume feels guilty for using Cid's name without his permission, but she feared that she would either be taken captive or killed if found out that she had returned to Hingashi.
* When Yume returns to Eorzea, she goes to Rhalgr's Reach and is reunited with Cid. She tells him that she is sorry that she had to use his name in Kugane, but that all she thought about was to be able to return to him. Cid just laughs and tells her that she can always use his name.
* It is then that Cid gets down on one knee, asking Yume if she would take his name and to make him the happiest man in the world, asking her to marry him. Yume, of course, enthusiastically says yes.
* Sometime around the events of 4.2, Cid and Yume are married at the Church of St. Adama Landama in Drybone in a quaint ceremony attended only by their close friends, with the ceremony officiated by Father Iiliud, the man who graciously took in Cid after the Calamity.
Shadowbringers
* During the events of Shadowbringers, Yume is summoned to the First by the Crystal Exarch, later revealed to be G'raha Tia, the man she fell in love with back during the investigation of the Crystal Tower.
* Soon afterwards, Yume finds out that Cid, Nero, and the Garlond Ironworks' descendants were the ones who ultimately spent lifetimes researching a way to reverse the Eighth Umbral Calamity. She also finds out that not only did all of the Warriors of Light, Yume included, died during the Eighth Umbral Calamity from Black Rose but that Yume was pregnant with her and Cid's unborn child at the time, so the growing life in her womb died with her.
* Yume is distraught at the revelation, but the news gives her resolve to defeat Emet-Selch, rescue G’raha from the Ascian, and to save the Source and the First with her fellow Scions and Warriors of Light.
* Between 5.0 and 5.1, Yume finally is able to confess her feelings to G’raha, and once he is sure that Cid has already given his blessing, Yume and G’raha officially get together.
* Once G’raha is back in the source after the events of 5.3, Cid, Yume, and G’raha become an exclusive polyamorous throuple, with G’raha moving into Yume and Cid’s apartment in Revenants Toll.
Endwalker and Post 6.0
*Around the events of 5.5 and into 6.0, Yume and Cid conceive a child, and Yume goes with the Scions and the Warriors of Light to save the world from Zenos and Fandaniel, not knowing that she is pregnant. It is not until after the final battle that Yume finds out that she will soon welcome a child into the world.
* Based on the timing, and the fact that G’raha has insisted that Yume and Cid must conceive the child that they were supposed to have but had died in the Eighth Calamity in the other timeline, that it must be Cid’s child.
* A few months later, Yume gives birth to a half Raen half Garlean girl, confirming that it is indeed Cid’s child and not G’raha’s. Cid asks Yume what the Hingan word for "future" is, to which she responds "Mirai". They both agree that it's the perfect name for their daughter.
* Not too long after Mirai’s birth, Yume finds out that she is pregnant once again, and no one is certain if it is Cid’s or Graha’s child until Yume gives birth.
* While Yume is in labor, she has complications with severe internal bleeding, a remnant of the internal damage suffered from her attempted seppuku all those years ago. The half Raen half Miqo’te baby girl is delivered safely, and is perfectly healthy. G’raha holds his daughter while trying to hold it together, as Yume is fighting for her life.
* Soon, Yume comes back from the brink of death and fully recovers in time, though the chirurgeons had to perform a hysterectomy and she can never have another biological child. G’raha and Yume decide to name their daughter “Hikari”, the Hingan word for “light”.
*After Hikari is born and Yume fully recovers, she retires from the Scions in order to be home with her daughters. She also begins helping Cid with the Ironworks part-time.
* Yume, Cid, G’raha, and the children then live long and happy lives together, with Cid, Yume, and G’raha going into full retirement decades later. Mirai takes over as President of Garlond Ironworks, while Hikari becomes an Archon and takes over as the protector of the Crystal Tower.
Whew, if you have gotten this far, thank you so much for taking the time of reading all of this. Let me know if you have any further questions about my ship or if you want me to talk about any more of my headcanons for them!
