this story is so engaging and such an original take on the accidental bonding trope. it was such a pleasure to work on

I had the privilege of working with the wonderful @holocron-hiatus and it was a wonderful time! Our idea for this painting was to make a piece inspired by the covers of trashy romance novels!!

You’ve heard of Heated Rivalry, now get ready for Pathetic Rivalry! In which Spock and Jim are two horny lowerdeckers who start hating each other because of a misunderstanding (and also probably the lack of things to do caused by Starfleet-mandated humane working conditions). Being in a throuple with Jim’s parents doesn’t save Pike from getting gray hair. Being my favourite character doesn’t save Nyota from getting involved in S’chn T’gai family bullshit. Strap in for Jim and Spock’s inability to communicate as grown adults cockblocking them for approximately 30k words.
