Your Taylor song is: Getaway Car

obviously this is because it is the specific love of your life!!!! but also because 

1) this is, like, the Best of Taylor in one song. Musically and lyrically speaking she’s pulling out all the stops and holding nOTHING back and so the song really lands emotionally because she’s doing her best work in all aspects- and that is something that I know you appreciate!

And 2) this is a song that marries Tragedy and Romance and you are ALL ABOUT THE ANGST. 

also this song doesn’t really work for reylo (because that means Rey leaves him in the motel bar and that’s not their ending) but YOU MADE IT WORK WITH YOUR INCREDIBLE GIFSET.

Also I hope we get the music video starring Adam Driver that we deserve.

Kylo Ren’s never seen anything quite like her.

How she moves, its fluid, whereas his stance and slashes are brutal, effective, but crude. She’s like a slip of flimsi caught in the wind, twisting and twining, deflecting blaster bolts with her saberstaff and the force alike. 

It would be magnificent to watch if she were not charging towards him with that impossible grace.

They knew it would come to this, to meeting, saber’s locked, in the heat of a battlefield but perhaps neither of them were aware that it would have their bond violently spinning back and forth without stopping.

Rey skids to a halt just before crashing into him, and a stray trooper gets a shot in on her. Kylo watches as she falls hard and fast to the dusty ground below.

He, without thinking, turns and opens up a cosmic singularity within the faulty party’s gut - expanding infinitely until a small black hole consumed him, and all nearby foes. ( her foes, Kylo reminds himself uselessly, and his soldiers – ) 

“Rey,” His voice is a rasp, and he kneels, tugging her so that her face could pillow against his thighs. He rips his glove off, and reaches into the force in some sloppy, haphazard attempt at healing – he’d never been very good at it, even before he’d embraced the dark.

“Rey please…” She’s coughing up a bit of blood, and Kylo’s own turns to ice, frozen and unmoving as his heart desperately tries to pump it. 

“Don’t leave me all alone in this world..” He knows that its his fault, that all of this falls back on his ten thousand inadequacies. Why couldn’t he have joined her? or she, him? Why were they damned to be bound, two parallel beings, with all this love, and never intersecting? 

If Rey dies, Kylo would not be able to survive. More than that his heart would be broken, his soul split in two, but to know he was responsible for it would leave him irreparably and emotionally, eviscerated.  

He tries. He fails. He tries again. The open wound at her side feints at healing, skin weaving, disintegrating, being reborn over and over only to die. He curses himself, for not paying attention to Luke’s lesson on this, that looking back, he’d have killed that fool boy Ben Solo for allowing this to happen…

And then it clicks, something shifts. This was the fault of Kylo Ren. 

“I love you.” Kylo chokes out, and Rey’s hazel eyes that had been dimming, warm. She even smiles. She’s dying and she’s smiling up at him as though it weren’t his hands stained in her blood.

“I know.”

This was inspired by Shippingdelights’ video of Rey and Kylo Ren. I thought it’d be interesting to see the parallels between the *cough cough* Kenobis and Skywalkers :)...

I always thought the Skywalkers and Kenobis were destined to balance each other out. The Skywalkers being seduced by the dark side (Anakin and Ben)...the Kenobis the light (Obi-Wan and Rey). And then there’s that little grey area in between.... *See shippingdelights’ video of Reylo here:*

You got me daydreaming about Rey and Ben dancing to that waltz that plays at the end of Princess Diaries, and you also got me thinking about them kissing with Ben’s foot somehow popping out.

OH MY GOD. BEN’S FOOT POPS WHEN REY KISSES HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT IS ABSOLUTELY CANON.
