The shiro-uneri is a tsukumogami in Japanese folklore. It resembles a small, ragged dragon made from a dish towel, kitchen rag, dust cloth or mosquito net that has been in use for many years.
The shiro-uneri is known to chase after household staff and wrap itself around them, causing them to pass out from the musty stench. It is often said to be more mischievous than hostile, though it will sometimes accidentally cause death by strangulation.
