Love and hate shirtaloon for how he ends the books. Im on the edge of my seat and ive only got two chapters left and im so scared.

When I started this series I was taken aback by just how many books there are and i was worried i couldnt finish them, but he is so great at making me vicerally need to keep going

It took me so long to finish an audio book and I am so proud of myself.

If anyone wants a good rec then go try Shirtaloon's "He Who Fights Monsters" or Podium's audiobook version.

Yes, it would be more practical, but the thing about good and evil is that no one ever chooses evil. They choose selfishness or prejudice or easy answers over hard truths. They choose the expedient path, even if it means getting their hands a little dirty because they can make up for it later, right? Sometimes getting your hands dirty is what it takes. The ends justify the means.

The word “shaft”, is being used excessively this chapter. It’s a mining type of shaft; but it is still hard to take seriously. The last word of chapter 33 was also shaft (I think) A different descriptor word thrown in as a replacement for “shaft” here and there would be nice. The vibe of the scene is chill. The narrator of the books is very good at capturing the vocal vibe of the text; and since Jason Asano has been very much Jason lately, all I can hear is him goofing about.
