Something about Tsukishima’s expression makes me think this isn’t the first time Sushigawara sprayed him.

Top 10 Bleach characters who keep their smile through anything!
As requested by anon. :)
Some Bleach characters try to be cheerful, no matter what. But who in Bleach is the *most* deliberately cheerful? Here are my picks for the top 10!
#10: Shishigawara
Might be weird to start with Shishigawara. He doesn’t actually smile all that much. He mostly adopts a “tough guy” attitude. But I included Shishigawara because throughout the fullbringer arc, he tries as hard as he can to stay optimistic. In part this is because he believes fully in his own power of good luck, and he believes in Tsukishima’s strength. This helps him keep a positive attitude. He even tries to smile and be optimistic while Tsukishima is dying.
Shishigawara: And I just know that Tsukishima is now doing great, great things in the afterlife!!!
Tsukishima: Right. Great, great things.
#9: Isshin
Isshin, like Ikumi (#8) isn’t someone who is cheerful all the time or anything. But Isshin does try very hard to stay artificially cheerful when he’s around his kids. So sure, when Isshin is fighting or talking to Urahara or visiting his wife’s grave, he can be very serious. But the rest of the time, he deliberately tries to be goofy and upbeat for, um, some reason.
Isshin: Because it’s what my kids want!
Karin: Um, no it isn’t.
Ichigo: Yeah you embarrass us constantly.
Yuzu: I know you try, but...
Isshin: It’s what my kids want - secretly!
#8: Ikumi
Like Isshin, Ikumi is really two people - one of whom is serious and violent, the other of whom is smiling and cheerful. Ikumi ranks higher because for her, the separation is far more complete. Isshin is able to be serious and sad around his kids, at least on occasion. But from the little we saw, Ikumi seems determined to treat her tough side as an actual secret identity that must be hidden from her son at all costs. So far as her son is concerned, Ikumi is just a happy mother who wears aprons ‘n’ stuff.
Ichigo: Your kid might figure it out as he gets older.
Ikumi: Are you doubting my acting abilities???
#7: Hichigo
All right. Now we’re into the portion of the list where I talk about characters who really do smile most of the time. Like Hichigo. Hichigo loves smiling. He smiles while he’s taking over Ichigo’s body and (attempting to) murder people. He smiles when Ichigo visits him in his soul world. Hell, he even smiled while he was fading into nothingness, assuring Ichigo that he would be back. Hichigo is a cheerful guy.
Ichigo: I’m not sure I’d call Hichigo’s smile cheerful. More...murdery.
Hichigo: And murder is why I’m cheerful!
#6: Gin
Like Hichigo, Gin smiles a lot because murder and deception make him happy. Also probably because he knows his smile freaks people out. Sure Gin has other emotions, and a lot of the time his smile is a cover for whatever actual emotions he is feeling. But still. Gin is (mostly) a pretty smiley guy.
Gin: It’s why I’m so photogenic!
Tosen: No.
#5: Yachiru
And now we pass from characters who pretend to be cheerful and/or smile a lot, to characters who actually seem to be genuinely cheerful most of the time! Like Yachiru. Yachiru seems to be a genuinely bubbly person and/or embodied zanpakuto. She likes to watch Kenpachi fight. She likes to give people nicknames. She likes to eat candy. Sometimes she’s sad, but on the whole, she has a very upbeat attitude.
Yachiru: I get to eat candy and watch Kenchan kill people! Why wouldn’t I be happy!
Yumichika: You’re such a wonderful father, Captain.
Kenpachi: Thanks.
#4: Nel
As an adult, Nelliel seemed pretty serious a lot of the time (except when she was goofing off with her fracciones, I guess). But as a kid, Nel loved to smile. She wandered through an empty desert of death, but thought of it as a big game. And when she changed back into an adult that first time, she immediately tackled Ichigo with a big smile.
Nelliel: I like to keep my inner child alive!
Nelliel: More literally than most.
#3: Masaki
We haven’t seen a whole lot of Masaki, but from what we have seen, it seems like she’s a very cheerful woman. Ichigo remembers her as some kind of radiant, smiling sun around which the family orbits. And sure that might be rose-colored glasses, but when we saw Masaki in the flashback, she similarly seemed to be, on the whole, a happy sort of person. She grinned and hugged Isshin. She teased Ryuken. She just cried when she was alone, I guess.
Masaki: I had a good life - of course I was happy!
Masaki: Except for all of that getting killed by hollows business.
#2: Orihime
Orihime tries really hard to be happy all the time. She’s seen, in canon, talking herself out of being sad and reminding herself that she should be cheerful. She once explained to Matsumoto that when she’s out in public she feels cheerful, although when she’s home by herself she suddenly gets sad. I guess no one in Bleach is happy *all* the time. But I think Orihime certainly comes close! And I don’t think there’s much that could make Orihime lose her smile. Ichigo dying, I guess. But then, Orihime can bring him back to life!
Orihime: And of course, donuts make everything better!
#1: Giselle
I just said that no one in Bleach is happy all the time, but, then.....there is Giselle. Giselle tends to wear a smiling (and creepy!) face at all times. I think she just really likes to murder and/or zombify people. She’s living (her) dream.
Giselle: Also I like to smile because it freaks everyone else out!
Gin: Nice to see that someone is carrying on my tradition!
Embodied fullbringer powers
As requested by elpaisdealicia. :)
We've already imagined what the the embodied zanpakuto of the visored, the espada, and the other shinigami might look like. Now it time to imagine that for some reason, the fullbringer powers decided to rebel. And had the ability to become embodied. What would they look like, and what would their motivations be?
1. Jackie
The embodied form: An oozing mud monster with indistinguishable features. Except when it wipes the mud away from its face. At which point it looks like a small girl.
Why she rebels: "You think your power is disgusting? No - you're disgusting. For not being strong enough to save the people you love!"
Jackie: ...
Jackie: As if I didn't already need years of therapy.
2. Tsukishima
The embodied form: A normal looking dude wearing suspenders and a white shirt.....and a completely blank face. No features at all. Just - blank.
Why he rebels: "You've changed your own past so many times, that you don't know who you are anymore."
Tsukishima: How are you talking?
3. Shishigawara
The embodied form: A short young man wearing fuzzy dice around his neck and a special visor over his eyes that constantly scrolls percentages.
Why he rebels: "Dude, you blind? You think Tsukishima cares about you? You think you have a future? You're a blind moron! Without my luck, you'd be NOTHING!"
Shishigawara: Hey, if Tsukishima didn't care about me, then why did he hesitate for a fraction of a second before he agreed to kill me, huh? Huh??
4. Riruka
The embodied form: A pink bear plushie.
Why she rebels: "You used to care about our aesthetic. Cute and clean, remember? That's all that matters. But then you let everything get so messy!"
Riruka: Well at least my soul is cute.
5. Yukio
The embodied form: Think Yukio. Only a robotic Yukio.
Why he rebels: "You've got power. You've got money. You've got intelligence. And what do you do? Sit around on your ass and play video games. You could do so much more!"
Yukio: Well not now I can't.
Yukio: You took my gameboy.
6. Giriko
The embodied form: A tall thin man wearing a long brown coat designed to look like the front of a grandfather clock. Also he has a creepy-ass eye patch that looks like it's made of hair. For some reason.
Why he rebels: "I'm really sick of serving drinks, man."
Giriko: I-it's a temporary gig!
7. Ginjo
The embodied form: An enormous knight clad in full armor carrying a huge broadsword and a shield emblazoned with a substitute shinigami badge.
Why he rebels: "I want power. I am not convinced you will ever achieve it."
Ginjo: Hey! I've got plans!
Ginjo: Big plans!
Ginjo: I'm in a gang you know!
