even beyond the hoops one goes through with a label, he's a collaborator and this is a creative profession. sometimes TIME is necessary for these things to come to fruition. i want good music from him, not forced tracks to meet an obligation. I'll happily wait.

yeah exactly!! even he himself was very open about the trouble he had writing early in the pandemic and how hard it was to feel like he was supposed to be creating but felt like he couldn't?? you'd think that between hearing him talk about that and all the times he's talked about how much he fucking loves this job, people would have a bit more patience and kindness in waiting for him to put out something he's truly happy with and proud of, but perhaps that's too much to ask (pun intended galskdjf)

Welp. I’m officially quarantining now. 

Profound worries about my fellow essentials aside, I’ve got a game plan and a studio/spare bedroom in the house I can hole up in. I also desperately needed this time off, anyway. The bike commute was getting easier to endure with each week, but it took a toll on my brakes AGAIN and I need to get that sorted out by my own self, or take it in after danger has passed and all precautions can be fulfilled.

I’m hoping that I can use the time to work on commissions/garden/etc. Though today’s home plans were shot after I completely fucked up my back putting in the window AC unit. Muscle spasms are fun when they get triggered by movement or breathing deeply.

I’m honestly fine, as fine as one can be in this situation, but... *shrug*. What can you do about that, in a shithole country like this one?

I’m so constantly fatigued by the engagement-driven ad economy we exist in. I’m tired of seeing youtube thumbnails bearing deliberately misspelled titles in the hope that someone will comment just to issue a correction. I’m tired of seeing fashion and culture media deliberately mislabel historical haircuts and clothing styles just so people will pile into the twitter comments to call them stupid. I’m tired of the bare, obvious twitter bots that begin their replies to major public figures with “I speak for every...”
