oh cool!! i saw a while back that you reblogged a tutorial for taking a floor plan and digitally making it into a 2D rendering of a 3D scene--was that the plan with this?

amazingly I actually drew this floor plan before I saw the post (I was smug when I saw it lol). But nah I’ve been wanting to do a gatehouse drawing for a while but needed to suss out what the sense of space was there. So @thatdeepandlovelydark and I had a powwow and I drew a beta-version a few weeks ago when I started the main drawing. I haven’t been able to get back to the main drawing till now; so I redrew the floor plan just to save it somewhere definite :)

i need to start practicing more of the kick-my-own-butt-into-gear form of self-care but I’m not good at it yet, since i’m used to actually liking the things i have to do?

but i haven’t gotten any reprimands from my program yet and i have therapy tomorrow, so that’s good!

Hah, thanks. I still wouldn’t say it’s a good movie, but I can’t help but see the irony that even Clint Eastwood, even as Walt Kowalski, stands against the kind of xenophobic nationalist rhetoric conservatives are toting these days.
