Welp.

The schools in my city just shut down again.

Day 27 of working for no paycheck. Required to be on site 5 days a week. No work from home - that got killed earlier this year with D*GE. Parking is $7 a day at the cheapest - I work in the city, but one with shitty public transit so I have to drive in.

$35 a week for parking, plus gas and maintenance on my car. All while NOT getting paid. I’ve gone from resigned to fucking angry. I mean, I’ve been angry all along, but it’s been a low, simmering anger. Now I’m fucking raging. At least let us work from home one day a week to help offset transportation costs while we’re NOT getting paid? Nope. Just a big fuck you, this is your job.

My last full paycheck was on September 26. Today is October 27. Literally don’t know how I’m going to survive if this goes on much longer. I had some savings to lean on but it will be gone soon if I don’t get paid, and soon. They owe me, and thousands of others like me, one month of back pay while we are told to continue reporting to work for no paycheck .

I hate this. It feels like being in the middle of a custody battle between two shitty parents.
