You wander around life, thinking what you're doing is ok. You think that even though other people will say it's wrong or bad or something, it'll still be ok. Then when you actually had done the thing, you realize it was wrong. Then you're supposed to learn a lesson. You do learn a lesson. But then you do it all over again.

you know what sucks?

you can tell people they're beautiful all you want,

but it's ultimately their decision if they believe you or not.

also, though, it's not a good place to if you rely on other people complimenting you to feel good about yourself, because people aren't reliable and they might leave or change their minds

and then you can't believe them anymore, so you feel like everything they said is a lie.

so ulimately, you just have to find a way to compliment yourself.

...which usually feels vain, or simply doesn't work.

complimenting is a fickle business.
