I just used shmick in a comment and then realised to should probably google that to make sure I was using it right. I’ve always used it in a that looks fancy, professional, really well done context. turn out that’s right, but I don’t think I realised it was Australian Slang. I think in my head all the really cool, non o/shortening slang is things I’ve learnt from Mel Brooks Movies (Yiddish etc) or adopted from somewhere else.
