Okay, super cheesy Shocktail headcanon I came up with a while back 

Denki and Ojiro are studying for a big test together- it’s a subject Denki struggles a lot with, and he’s so frazzled and frustrated trying to understand the material 

He’s at his breaking point, with tears clouding his vision and electricity crackling around his head, and finally he snaps and just slams his head down on the desk 

“Ughhhh, I can’t TAKE it anymore! I can’t DO this!! I just don’t GET it!!!”

Without missing a beat, Ojiro reaches over and starts rubbing Denki’s back, and slips his tail into his friend’s shaking hands 

Denki’s shoulders start to relax when he feels Ojiro’s soft tail in his hands, and he heaves a sigh 

“I… I’m such an idiot… I’m never gonna pass this test…”

Ojiro simply flashes a sympathetic smile and slides a water bottle over to Denki 

“Not with that attitude, you’re not…”

Denki tilts his head and blinks at Ojiro, too weary to form a response 

“So,” Ojiro starts, “you know how the more you say something about yourself, the more true it becomes?”

“…No…”

Ojiro opens his mouth to explain further, but before he can get a word in- 

“Because… you’re always saying how plain and boring you are… but you just keep on getting cooler!”

Ojiro is taken aback, and he has to take a minute to process what he just heard… and then his eyes fill up with tears 

“Uhh… Brojiro? You good?”

Ojiro pulls Denki into a hug and quietly sobs into his shoulder 

“Kaminari… what did I ever do to deserve a friend like you?”

Denki happily returns the hug, melting into it as Ojiro’s tail wraps around him 

“Aw, dude… I could say the same thing about you…”

One healing hug and snack break later, Denki feels calm enough to try going over the material again, and with Ojiro’s help, he finally starts to understand it a little better 

Denki is so grateful to have such a kind and patient friend who helps ground him when he needs it, and Ojiro is equally as grateful to have such a positive and insightful friend who helps him to see the good qualities in himself when he feels like he has none

A scenario I’ve been thinking about since last night: 

Ojiro sitting on a bed with Denki curled up in his lap, holding him close and wrapping his tail around him 

Denki is sobbing into Ojiro’s chest, because he’s scared, he’s so scared 

He knows it’s an irrational fear, he knows he’s probably blowing it way out of proportion, but he just can’t stop freaking out

And Ojiro is so gentle and patient with him, whispering soothing words into Denki’s hair and rubbing his back

He walks his panicked friend through everything he’s feeling right now, having him talk about what the absolute worst-case scenario would be and then helping him break it all down

While he still can’t help feeling a bit scared, talking about it helps Denki calm down significantly, and he feels safe in Ojiro’s lap, burying his face in his soft tail fluff

After Denki finally stops sobbing, the two of them stretch out on the bed and cuddle for a while- he feels a lot better after that, and then he and Ojiro head to the kitchen for some soothing hot tea and dorayaki

I've kinda been thinking, do you think the three of them had to look for Ojiro-worthy furniture (specifically: things to sit on), or maybe there's just one Ojiro Chair that he wheels around the house to wherever they're all sitting. (Bc, like, kid def can't sit in a normal straight-backed chair. Probably can't even sit in a couch/armchair unless he's sprawling on them somehow). On a similar line, I wonder if they had to Denki-proof some of the electrical outlets and appliances x'D Thoughts? xD

Okay, I think you guys are better at coming up with the finer details than me XD I never even thought of some of this stuff, lol... but hey, it’s a collaborative effort to make this AU the best it can be, and I’m having a lot of fun with it :D

I can definitely see the boys scouting out various secondhand shops for suitable chairs for Ojiro- soft pillows, ottomans, dining room chairs they can saw the backs off of... Denki also has a nice squishy beanbag that he’s happy to share with Ojiro 😊 Sometimes they literally do share it- Ojiro sits in the beanbag and Denki lays his head in his lap 😊💕

But his favorite chair would have to be the fancy antique chair they scored at the flea market- that thing’s got a soft cushion, generous armrests, and a wide back that boasts both intricate carvings AND a space big enough for a tail to fit through! Ojiro was so happy when he came across it, his tail started wagging, and Shinsou and Denki had to grab hold of his tail so it wouldn’t knock over anything at the flea market 🤣

Literally the only thing that would make it better is a set of wheels, so they installed some themselves after they took the chair home 😊 Denki was vlogging their chair haul the entire time, and he came up with a fun way to end the vlog- he got Ojiro to dramatically swivel around to face the camera, petting the cat in his lap, and he could barely hold it together when Ojiro said “make me an offer I can’t refuse” XD Also, he’s definitely chased people around while sitting in it 😆

As for Denki-proofing the outlets, how... would that even work?? XD Maybe in the BNHA universe, they’ve designed surge protectors with electricity quirks in mind 🤔 At any rate, they probably save a lot on their electricity bill, if they even have one- I saw a headcanon somewhere that Denki keeps his house powered by using his quirk to charge a generator, and I really like that idea 😊 Especially useful in this AU!

Oh gosh, I have SO many BNHA brotps, it’s hard to pick XD I’ll go with Ojiro and Denki for this one! ^u^

-who is more often the shoulder to cry on? I’d say Ojiro- Denki tends to cry when he gets stressed out, while Ojiro is the type of guy to bottle things up most of the time ^^;

-who enjoys hugging more? They both love hugs and cuddles! Denki does tend to initiate more of them, though ^u^

-who is always the one to ask for relationship advice? Denki

-who feels like they are the more dependent one? Denki

-favorite thing to do when they hang out? Cuddle! They also like playing games and watching vine compilations ^u^

-do they have silly nicknames for each other? I can totally see Denki calling Ojiro “Brojiro” (apologies to @theaccidentalninja XD ) but I can’t really see Ojiro using nicknames all that much? Aside from something simple like “buddy”, maybe ^^;

-how do they make each other laugh? Aside from his classic “wheyyy”, Denki definitely makes Ojiro laugh with silly dances and dumb impressions XD And when Ojiro wants to cheer up Denki, doing something silly while hanging by his tail or acting out some of Denki’s favorite vines works pretty well ^u^

-who is more responsible? Ojiro, 100% XD

-the song they jam out to together? Probably some meme song, lol... At first it was just something silly that Denki started, but then they ended up genuinely associating it with fond memories, and whenever it comes on, they grin at each other and start dancing :D

Or alternatively, the first BNHA ending, mainly because I love how ridiculously meta that would be XD

-first to say “you’re my best friend”? Denki

-who buys the other really extravagant gifts on holidays? Somehow, I feel like Ojiro would?
