Less twink Shockwave and more tanky, heavy Shockwave please. I'm looking at you, Earthspark. Shockwave without huge thighs and tits looks naked. A good example is Knightverse Shockwave. Woah momma.

WOAH MOMMA
Of all the ships to make a highly successful, borderline heartwrenching au about a demon who falls in love with a mortal and essentially sacrifices himself to said mortal that legitimately almost all of the fandom knows about or has interacted with on some level, you seriously had to choose shockblurr?
The ship in which it's foundations lie in Shockwave Literally Murdering Blurr As Their One Sole Interaction
Are you actually fucking kidding me?

One of Skybound’s worst writing decisions imo was Optimus destroying the Energon made from Shockwave’s machine. The whole premise rests on the idea that there’s only two options.
Destroy the machine or destroy all life on earth.
My problem with this is Shockwave had already used the machine (rip whale) and produced Energon. The pragmatic decision would’ve been to take the Energon that was already made to take out the Decepticon forces left on Cybertron or at least save the Autobots left (remember the Autobots got so desperate they were cannibalizing the enemy) and then destroying it so it couldn’t be used again.
It would’ve fit the gritty war is hell tone but instead it turned what would’ve been a morally grey situation into a simplistic black and white solution just to make Optimus look like the good guy. Frankly, there’s not enough anger over Optimus wasting the Energon. It would’ve been like someone destroying a much needed supply of food just because it wasn’t ethically sourced.

While intermixing continuities to various degrees has always been a part of TF fandom and I enjoy it much of the time, it seems as though much of TFO fanon in particular ignores much of the film's canon characterizations in favor of transplanting elements of other continuities or even just stock fandom concepts. I don't usually have a problem with this, but I feel that in the case of TFO this has meant that the unique characterizations in that movie, which are often quite interesting in their own right, have not been explored by fans as much as I would like.
As examples:
TFO Shockwave is not stoic and emotionless.
TFO Bumblebee isn't Optimus' son or really presented as a child at all.
TFO Elita is not a fucking mother figure!
Even TFO Starscream isn't necessarily poised to become the traitorous archetype he usually is.

simon furman is kinda like the transformers version of kishimoto. he'll make shockstar accidentally gay and its the best yaoi i'll ever encounter involving a shockwave ship (wavewave doesn't really hold much credence to me) but he also hates writing women. so what im trying to say that shockstar is kinda like narusasu if you think about it.
.
i know empurata is a thing but its way funnier to think of whirl and shockwave popping out looking like that
i also like to headcanon shockwave having some mosquito-like straw tube to drink energon (no seriously how does shockwave feed himself in canon??)
.
Idk why some people are so quick to call Shocklita a bad pairing, imo it's a really fun twist on the usual dynamic in canon of Elita, and Female Autobots in general, being used as backstory fodder for male characters, as well as a neat little parallel to Megop!
