Roronoa Zoro, the One Piece setting's one and only user of a three-sword style of fighting, who at the time only held two swords (his previous third had been returned to the country of its make due to its historical significance) and was in need of a third, had the opportunity to seize another of the three most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting (said to be in a greater class of swords than his currently-owned 3rd strongest of the three most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting) and did jack shit about it.
This despite having already seen that owning and taming one of the three most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting results in a substantial power increase for the user, and he just didn't fuckin' do it.
Instead, he got his hands on a heretofore unmentioned OTHER cursed sword and took that instead, despite it having even more historical significance to the same country he'd just returned a sword of historical significance to.

Giving it up to take possession of the 1st strongest of the three most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting after already having obtained and tamed the other two should have been Zoro's final sacrifice to obtain his ultimate power that he needs to reach to take on the series' end boss with his captain and the rest of his crew (You can't tell me there's no synergy buff for using all three of the most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting at once, One Piece RUNS on tropes like that).
Anyway, it chaps my ass that they established the cool Kitetsu three most famous cursed swords in the One Piece setting lore and then fucking fumbled it so badly first chance they got. And that first chance was twenty years later.
