hahahah I was, and while I definitely admired the way he wore those yellow pants, I resisted touching him anywhere other than his back (which is rock solid). I tend to try to not treat others the way I wouldn't want to be treated. Fan or not, I wouldn't want someone grabbing my ass unless they were my significant other. We did get to see him without a shirt during his panel, though. That man is damned fine. ^o_~^ Also, I've seen him naked... In Spartacus... XD

This is a trick question. All my ships are my favorite ships. Asking me to choose between my ships is like asking me which of my children I love more.

(FYI - It varies day to day, depending on which one brings me the most joy. Lately, it’s been dramione, but I’ve been getting the feels from tahnorra and saisaku too)

Multiplicity. Sometimes I feel stretched a little thin, like butter spread over too much bread. I need to even out the ratio of ‘me’ to ‘them’ in my household.

Besides, invisibility is overrated - a dark lord is always involved - and all other powers have been killed by Hollywood.

What was the nature of your relationship with Commander/Admiral Zhao?

"Ahh Admiral Zhao...It was a shame he met his end during the battle for the North. He was quite useful to me. Nothing more, nothing less. However, I will never forget the times when we attended The Royal Academy for Boys. He always had a certain affinity for picking fights with the wrong people. Including me. Confession Time

As many of you probably already know, I am currently finishing up the final installment of gray skies ahead, the third part of the "break the ice" series.

As some of you may also know, I've been grappling with my identity as a fanfiction author a lot lately, and I've come to a very difficult conclusion. What you see below is the message that I was planning to include in the end note of gray skies ahead's final chapter:

COMING SOON:

we tried to break the ice, but we're still so cold, and there are gray skies ahead— now the storm clouds come rolling in.

storm clouds come rolling in: In which a revolution falls, secrets are revealed, even deeper betrayals are forged, bending is restored, and a new member joins Team Avatar—though perhaps not necessarily in that order.

(Or, in other words: How will the "break the ice" series finally diverge from canon? What role will everyone play in the downfall of Amon? What sassy names will Tahno call Mako to his face? Can Kris create a canon-parallel love pentagon that is both tasteful and relevant to the plot? [Can anyone?]

Challenge: Accepted.)

I have had this story continuation in mind for quite some time now, and I have been longing for this opportunity to finally share more about what I hope is in store! These last few months have been a very difficult time as far as Tahnorra motivation goes, what with our fandom nearly falling off the map entirely, and it came to a point where I wasn't sure I'd be able to maintain the drive to continue this. Thankfully for all of us, shoeninja and Yuki119 have helped spark the resurgence! (If you haven't participated in the 30 Day Tahnorra Challenge yet, head over to tumblr and check it out!) It has made a tremendous difference in only a few short weeks, and I have definitely noticed a positive shift in morale. Thus! I am very, very excited to officially say:

Keep your eyes peeled for the fourth (and final!) installment of the “break the ice” series, storm clouds come rolling in!

Unfortunately, our motivational burst didn't last very long. Please consider this an official announcement:

After the completion of gray skies ahead, That One Night, and Personal Record, therentyoupay will be taking a step back from the world of fanfiction. Although I may try to write a vignette or two for the continuation I imagined for storm clouds, I will not make any promises.

I would like to start focusing on my original fiction, and I'm afraid that fanfiction just isn't going to be in the cards for me like it used to. I've learned so much from these training grounds, but I'm coming to realize that I'm already preparing to move on.
