Earlier today the MANGA Plus app suddenly dropped a whopping nineteen chapters of Gusts And Beats (Toppuu to Beat), the current series being drawn by Karuho Shiina (mangaka of Kimi Ni Todoke). Running in the magazine Bessatsu Margaret, Gusts and Beats is the first Shoujo manga simulpub by MANGA Plus.

Described as “Occult meets Romantic Comedy,” Gusts And Beats follows Niike, a high school girl prone to forgetfulness who is asked to check in on Nemoto, her truant classmate. From this seemingly simple premise a multilayered mystery quickly unfolds— I really recommend just going and reading it all now for the best possible experience. There’s currently only nineteen chapters and they’re currently free on MANGA Plus. New chapters aren’t coming until next month, so catch up before then!
