Can we Talk about how Bleach peaked at the Soul Society Arc?
Otherwise known as the rescue Rukia arc, the Soul Society arc in bleach was the epitome of the series. It had everything that we cant as anime fans. A domineering power structure, an unraveling mystery, and revelations of character's powers. How many off you were on the edge of your seat waiting for the next Bankai reveal?
That plus one of the most god tier villains in the history of Anime/Manga and the Soul Society arc will go down as one of the greatest arcs of all time. And then the story just kind of fizzled.
There was the weird Bount-o filler arc in the anime. There was the Arrancar arc which started of interested, but ended up being a repeat of the Rescue Rukia arc; it became the rescue Orihime arc and fans felt their attention start to wane. Was it the creator losing interest? Was he sick Was he rebelling against the intense work schedules of Manga artists in Japan? We may never know. But it's too bad.
I still wonder to this day, how the series would have gone had the pieces remained aligned.
