that’s true!! i thought about that right after i made this post haha. i guess the difference is that in a guest comic an artist can tell a short story in 5-7 panels whereas a web serial guest update would have to be an actual short story
So I went to ripexpo yesterday and it was lovely! I mostly went to see yolivia and buy the SUPER CUTE (cute cute) Gorgon comic she illustrated because CUTE. You should purchase it here if you have money, because cute.
I also got some commissions of my characters while I was there. So many lovely artists! Here’s what I got:

i dont really think its sexist as much as kinda boring
it's boring for sure. a lot of people construe it as sexist too, because that's always trendy (and conveniently timed with the whole "UBI CAN'T ANIMATE WOMEN HUR DUR".) I just don't see how people still have the energy to be outraged about this "issue".
But really, it's a superhero team where 5 out of 6 are tumblr's precious POCs (and most are Asian, which are hugely underrepresented in western media even among other POCs). Plus the Asian girl doesn't even look like Mulan, sparing us from the horror of any "Disney thinks all Asians look the same and treats Asian women as a mass produced commodity!" outcry on tumblr. Why can't we appreciate the victories?
