If I had a nickel for every time SFTH did a longform set in an ambiguously medieval Germany featuring a small child played by AJ as the main protagonist and that child's supernatural parent as the antagonist, and Tom played AJ's mother/s, and AJ's character learns to stand up for themselves throughout the play, and there's a clear flower motif to the point that the title of the play references both AJ's character's name and something to do with flowers, and there is a mix of German and English accents despite the play very much being set in Germany, and a character was sent off to boarding school but is now back, and there is a character named Hans, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but oh my god they're just the same play aren't they

I drew Jimmy from The Amazing Adventures Of The Spectacular Spiderjimmy by @morhido !!! :D

Under the cut is the pencil (no ink) version and my thought process while I made this!!

With rhi's new C&D roleplay blog, I started rereading the entirety of the spiderjimmy fanfic again, reading some of my favourite moments with my friends (COUGH. chapter 4 and 19. I reread those like 3 times. dont even). And decided that I wanted to draw my favourite blorbo again because I only drew him once and that was YEARS ago (it also felt criminal that I hadn't drawn him in my new artstyle yet)

I saw this 'overhead pose' thing on pinterest and I IMMEDIATELY drew that little box in the top right corner and thought it would be cute if I did this half in costume, half not in costume thing but I couldn't do it with the hands (like in the reference photo) so I just drew a star which I like a lot more!

I, then, drew the larger, full body drawing of Big Jimmy™ on the right of the paper, I referenced a lot of rhi's art for the kind of clothes that he would wear and also wanted to have that little speech bubble ("Kit! Jacob! I'm in your hooomee!") to sort of reference how Jimmy just comes in and out of their house all the time in the fic.

After that, I did the graffiti "SPIDERJIMMY" one, because I'm trying to improve how I do graffiti in general, two, because I remember that lots of graffiti artists make graffiti for/to spiderjimmy in the story so I thought that was pretty cute.

I did all of the above in one day and on the next day, I went to the park with my friends where I took my drawing book with me to continue this. I drew the little chibi jimmy on the left and I did originally want to do another chibi jimmy but in his spiderman suit but decided against it because I was feeling lazy and did not want to have to draw all the extravagant details on the suit and because I wanted to draw cloohickey because thats the entire reason why I was drawing in the first place. I found it quite hard to capture Clancy and Doohickey's likeness, I don't think they turned out very well (which i guess is an excuse to draw these little stupid bisexuals more (/lovingly)). I also drew little spinner at the bottom because I can't draw dogs and I had my best friend translate the "woof!"

Now onto the ink/colour process! On the third day, I coloured in all the stars in yellow, and the hearts in pink and red, but I felt like that wasn't enough colour and Jimmy is a very vibrant and happy guy so I wanted to have this convey that. I did an outline in a blue highlighter around the Big Jimmy™ then decided it would be fun to add a blue border around the outside of him to make him pop more (it also helped cover up at mistakes i made with the lineart). I did the same with chibi jimmy as well.

I added red and yellow to the drawing because yellow is in spiderjimmy's costume and red is the iconic spiderman colours.

And that was it! I hope you like the drawing as much as I liked creating it!

(I am also hyper aware of the one ! in the top right box that is not coloured in and I am too lazy to take another photo, edit it and replace it so we ignore it but it has been fixed irl!!!!!)
